The nigght before the tickets went on sale, I won tickets to see Judas Priest with opener Dokken. My first real concert at the Brendan Btrne Arena at The Meadowlands in NJ on June 11th, 1986. The Turbo Tour. I recently got a box set of almost all their albums on CD. 17 albums.

@williamcruz7976 In 1986, they were musically great. Don's voice was great and George Lynch was amazing. Only Don's between songs comments were on the f-bomb laden lame side.

Just saw the metal gods, Judas Priest , at the Armory on May 2nd! Halfords was phenomenal and Priest killed it!! Sabaton opened and was fantastic! Great show!!!!🤟🤟🤟🤟

For sure a Painkiller vibe, but there are elements from Defenders of the Faith, and many other past works as well. But with Invincible Shield, they really brought back the classic Judas Priest sound 🤘🎸

Hi Nick, firstly, sorry I'm missing numerous reactions. I've been full of a cold that doesn't want to go away. I have moments when I feel not too bad .. then I sneeze !! .. I am drinking whisky with hot water, lemon & honey and that knocks me out. Lol .. Speaking of knockout ... this track ! Wow ! [ like the smooth transition ? ] ... I remember when Eric Clapton 1st saw Jimi Hendrix live and turned to Chas Chandler saying "I may as well give up playing guitar now" like how do you follow that ? Well there must be up and coming 'young' rock groups who are listening to this, and saying ... "What ? !! How old are these guys ? !!! .. Damn ... we need to practise for 20 years at least, to get this close to being good ". Even I nearly fell out of my chair when you said Rob's age. ... With that voice ? !! Robert Plant must be going WTF ? This is brilliant rock music 70's style ... like time has stood still. [ I'm going on Amazon after this .. buying the new album ! ] Great reaction. Byee Jim X

I LOVE the 1983 US festival footage of Judas Priest. I saw it for the first time about 6 months ago. Have a real appreciation for Glenn and KK’s guitar playing now. Just wondering what happened to their original drummer.

JP has had multiple drummers: John Partridge, Fred Woolley, John Ellis, Alan Moore, Chris Campbell, John Hinch, Simon Phillips, Les Binks and Dave Holland. Scott Travis has been with them for ~34 years now.

Well Priest was formed in 1969 so technically a sixties band somehow. Having said that, Priest and the Scorpions are the last two Metal/Hardrock Bands founded in the sixties and still touring.

Not bad, this new song and Rob's voice ... there's one small thing that disturbs me : everytime he sings "panic attack, panic attack" somewhere in the back of my brain I hear "Breaking the law, breaking the law" .... both lines so similar... other than that - no complaints 🤘

I ve never experienced bands in their 60's or even 70's releasing one of their best albums at this age. Firepower and Invincible Shield slay in a huge way. I am shocked tbh

Don't forget deep purple aren't heavy metal never were just rock iron maiden Judas priest are metal... You then have Saxon Accept ...they're just heavy rock bands. .agree or disagree that's up to you...

Deep,Purple , Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin were NOT metal. They were hard rock bands. The term metal did not exist at the time. We were listening to them without trying to categorize their music.

I'm hard-pressed to listen to "Highway Star" amd "A Child In Time" by Deep Purple and not call them "metal". Plus, Deep Purple's early material particularly "April", was the first song to mix rock and classical, thus inventing the genre of progressive rock.
