Halford sounds better than he did in the past. He sounds too good to be true on this record. And well, at his life performances he now nails painkiller, something he wasn't able to sing in the nineties, when he was younger and the song was new. But hey, he really is singing those things. Promised.

May I politely suggest that once all your touring duties are over maybe you could arrange a long chat via podcast with Rob? Would love to hear how he has looked after himself so that he can still rip a vocal like that! Also, with everything he has seen (and dealt with) over the decades he would have some great stories to tell and would love to hear his views on the current crop of metal out there. Happy touring Justin

The thing that is on my (and not only on my) mind is Judas Priest have been known for their lil bit childish and simple lyrics since the early 80's, but now....Nostradamus, Firepower and Invincible Shield are from lyrical point of view probably one of their best ever, which is nothing short of amazing. Finally I can listen to these lyrics and like getting some deeper message exactly like in the case of Spectre or Rising from Ruins. Excellent work by guys!

@@HD-TechDon't you dare disrespect your grandfather like that. The Rat Pack were iconic for a reason, and Portuguese music goes hard as fuck. Just because he didn't listen to "metal" didn't mean he didn't have a banging taste in music. @@widexawake_ (Sigh)... First of all Chris don't assume you know how much I loved and respected my Vavô based on joke. Secondly I actually really enjoyed the Rat Pack music he used to play. And thirdly the Portuguese music he used to play was the old folk music type, I assure you it did not go "hard as fuck". He was a real old school type from the "old country" as he used to refer to it as, and man did he have a sense of style, think Rat Pack era. He was also a great machinist and carpenter. Anyway thanks for making that comment I love to talk about him as they say, when you cease to talk about a person who has passed they die twice. R.I.P Tony Martin 1989 How's that for Respect?

Rob is a master of enunciation! Think about it. For him,...the language itself is part of his instrument. Not just the voice or the notes. He impacts words in a way that no one does else does quite the same. As if each phonetic and word was extremely important for you to hear - or to hit you over the head with! It makes him stand out for me. And then the chugging. HAHAHA. Nobody chugged for me in the eighties like the priest. Chugging would be burned into my guitars forever. Part of their language. It's as if the instrument had been designed specially for chugging after the priest came along. Yup. Another good one Justin. Cheers. 👍

Saw them at Power Trip in CA a few weeks ago. Rob was still hitting those high notes at will. I last saw them on the Operation Rock n Roll tour in the early 90s and he was just as vocally powerful a few weeks ago!

I adore Judas Priest and only found them later in my life. Rob is a hero of mine, as a Gay man seeing someone out in a metal world is super encouraging :sign_of_the_horns:

Tbh you are not the only one who has never been JP fan and somehow I get it. Not everybody is keen on listening to homoerotic songs about raping at gun point or breaking somebodys jaw with a huge dick. All jokes aside Judas Priest is a very specific kind of monster and definitely not for everybody. My father as a Black Sabbath and Deep Purple fan does not like JP at all (he respects Halford, Glenn and KK tho)

Absolutely amazing how good Rob's vox are. The lyrics are such a good snapshot of today's society. Awesome to see and hear older guys show how it's done. Music is the elixir of life my friends, use it daily!!!!

You can always drop some ‘shorts’ (compilations of clips formatting? Etc) while on the road if you get anxious or pressure to post, Justin. Either way your fans understand and appreciate you. Be well and enjoy 🌱🌞
