"I do remember one occasion in Ramport Studios where K.K. was going to take a solo - and I'd never experienced this before: He went into the studio, put his guitar on, turned all the stuff up and got the sound, and said, 'OK, let's roll the tape and see what happens.' The tape started rolling and he immediately started going into all his stage movements - sorta 'throwing shapes' as they call it. I thought to myself, 'Why is he doing that? We're in the studio.' And I said to him, 'Why are you doing that? Why don't you just concentrate on your playing?' And he said, 'Well, that's part of the playing. The way I feel is the way I move and it influences the music.'". The song was played live in the albums "Unleashed in the East" and "Priest...Live!". Roger Glover (Deep Purple)

This is when his vocals became stronger than the previous tours. And it got better from here. He really learned how to use his matured voice.
@kissarmysgtwrm4mccormick402 жыл бұрын
My comment was a little poorly written. I meant that was when his MATURED voice got better and he learned how to use his matured voice during this time since their reunion ai should have said. That’s what I meant. Cause for the first 2 tours especially he wasn’t conditioned properly and was smoking cigarettes before the reunion and stuff like that but by the third tour he started using his voice differently like songs like Judas Rising became better live because he wasn’t hitting the highs that sounded a little off during the live versions till Epitaph he sang it differently and brought in his deeper ranges too for some of the highs which worked beautifully. But I think Epitaph he was perfect. The Rage is a song I’ve loved forever and never thought I’d hear that OR Blood Red Skies OR fucking Screaming For Vengeance, Devils Child, Saints in Hell, the Rage, Starbreaker, Hell Patrol, Tyrant….(still waiting for GENOCIDE!!and Island of Domination and a new take on Out in The Cold would be great probably!) but I never thought I’d hear these songs live ESPECIALLY Saints in Hell and Screaming for Vengeance and he sang those songs PERFECTLY in Oshawa, Ontario for the Firepower tour!!!!
