Rob can almost hit those notes today at age 67. This band is my all time fave Metal Band. They with Maiden, Sabbath and Saxon are freaking Metal God Fathers. Best of the best.

Judas Priest is just like Iron Maiden in the sense that their music is timeless and that both bands are still touring. And Priest has a new album out and touring now to support it. ✌

Well, Judas Priest started 9 or 10 years before the first version of Maiden was formed... Just saying, they´re more in line with bands like Black Sabbath or Deep Purple than with the NWOBHM bands. But they´re none of the two, they´re kind of in the middle xDxD
@kahwigulum5 жыл бұрын
Maiden wishes it was like Judas Priest. At least Priest plays songs the fans want to hear. Maiden won't play any of the classics unless it's at Wacken or Graspop or something. Pretty non-metal if you ask me.

the last few (last 30+ years) Priest albums have been dull.....last truly great Priest was "Defenders" Maybe one can make a case for "Painkiller", but, otherwise, these guys are living on past laurels.

Great performance, but the studio version is even better! Now of course, you have to react to the original studio version of Dreamer Deceiver/Deceiver! Make sure you listen to both, as it's weirdly one song, but broken up into two tracks. It's Priest's answer to Bohemian Rhapsody. Not just a song, an experience!

The song “Epitaph” should be played in tandem with “island of Domination”. They are the last two songs on the Sad Wings of Destiny” album. The songs could hardly be more different but they overlap one fading out as the other gets louder. It just works.

First is Cheater, the second is Rocka Rolla from their early years. I have a feeling Kel is gonna love them. Thumbs up if you agree. Edit for sidenote* This concert was in 1984 for the Defenders of the faith Tour. Weeks before the first time I saw them in San Diego for the first time. May 9. 1984 is the day I saw them. The Memphis show was a radio broadcast first on Westwood Ones King Biscuit Flour Hour nationwide, and later rebroadcast on MTV. I recorded it on cassette tape from the radio. My first bootleg live album I guess.
