I was at the opening show of the SCREAMING FOR VENGEANCE tour down in Bethlehem PA …. road trip from CT with my bass player. It was at Lehigh University gymnasium …. a small place by Priest standards. 4th row on the floor caught a guitar pick & got showered with Rob’s sweat multiple times as I clawed to the barrier. The mighty Brits left us drained & deaf for a couple days. Easily one of my top 5 shows of all time. And just imagine how crisp & powerful Rob’s vocals were on that night compared to this video after being out performing night after night.

I know this is an old thread, but I just saw it so I'll comment anyway. Thank you for using this particular performance of Victim of Changes. So many reactionistas use the same outdoor stadium show where they are clearly overheated and the acoustics are inferior. This show is a better performance, and far more typical of a night with the Priest. I can say this, having seen 7 tours beginning with British Steel. Their live shows were stunning, not to mention LOUD. Look at all those Marshalls and think enclosed venue. I was at the front of the stage near the left stack during one of the shoes, and my ears rang for 3 weeks.

The parent album of this song came out in March 76. You're right. Many bands that came later (specifically Iron Maiden) took the Priest blueprint and ran with it. Basically, Judas Priest single handedly invented metal as you now know it, back in the mid 70s. I saw them a few times late 70s here in the UK. Always awesome. I strongly suggest that you listen to the whole album (Sad Wings Of Destiny) and reflect on how that one album changed the whole scene from 'rock' (Purple, Sabbath etc) to 'metal' It has to be said, its also a brilliant album

But then Priest came out to remind us that they were the true Metal Gods.
