I thought the movie was dark, but by the time of the 6th wife, Henry had turned into a monster. I also had just watched "Starz", the "Tudors". This was probably much more of the reality of the King Henry the 8th at the end of his life.

Can't wait to see it...though he sounds American in the role. Great interview with a great artist. But he lost me, when he starting whinging about the "cost" of the monarchy. Before he says such things, he should know that the monarchy is NOT a "loss center", but a "money spinner" for the country. The numbers are public, and it's easy to verify. Very disappointed in such a remark from someone so remarkably brilliant and talented. Rather shocking, actually.
