For the case with Trini- why is no one asking the really important question- what state is her DL issued out of? You don't obtain a NM MMJ card with anything but a NM driver's license & NM address. You don't obtain SNAP & TANF benefits in TX without a TX DL. I have a CO MMJ card. A pack OF MMJ Gummies (10 gummies, 10 mgs of THC) costs around $40. That's much cheaper than recreational mj which typically costs $55 for that same amount. Trini is full of bovine excrement. She's lying to some agency, because she's obviously got DL's in two states.

Im so glad her children can go with reliable family and not strangers because i really dont think Iris will ever get her life straight, for real. That lawyer kept saying son and the baby was a little girl. The kid is almost 18 not much you can do when they are 17 because they already have a mind of their own. I hope this woman makes it you can truly see she's got some withdrawal symptoms and she's been there 2 weeks already. Meth is hard to get off from. It took one of my acquaintances a year in a rehab program. They had 2 UAs a week and 1 hair follicle a month to make sure. She was in the facility 6 months before they could look for employment go on outings etc. Once they are employed they go to sober living. Synacord is one of the best in Texas so I hope she takes advantage of it 🙏

I’m so over our very wacky system that seems to bend over backwards for the worst human beings but does not seem to want to work with the ones actually trying. Trini can look into help to get marijuana but not help for herself and the kids. 😳. And she only uses in New Mexico but only uses it for pain. So how much pain is she really in if she can hold off until she gets to New Mexico ? You know she is using in Texas .

Ive watched several of these now and it's disturbing how slow this system works Children must be so effected by not knowing what and who they can trust for so long I don't know how it could be better but it's clearly a broken system...😢

Trini is very dodgy. She needs medical marijuana for pain and ptsd but only once a week. Her grandkids say she smokes but she claims to use gummi bears but doesn't know how much she pays for them. I hope she's keeping them out of reach of the kids anyway. She goes to New Mexico every week to speak with her lawyer and do official business but she goes on the weekends. She told the investigator that she works when the kids are at school but slips up here and says she actually works nights. And the boyfriend is either abusive or not as it suits her.

Good to know that the county is paying for those kids lifestyles because she can’t do it alone, like the rest of the country. The drive from Texas to New Mexico is not just a hour trip. It is hours! Just so she can use different forms of pot? Those kids should have been placed with someone who doesn’t do drugs. No excuse. Pot or kids. Make a choice.

In that first case, how can they not know their older brother? Also, the parents should know their family. In another case, the grandmother says the kids aren't experiencing verbal or emotional abuse, but then says that she knows how to move them if needed. Why would she know how to move them away if there isn't anything to move away from.

With the first case- I get the feeling the older brother is a half-brother, so the custodial grandparents may not have his contact info. Like, the children all share a dad, but the custodial grandparents are maternal.

You mean one month in in-patient rehab? If the help just stops when she leaves, then I agree. If it transitions to a structured, intensive out-patient programme then hopefully it will do the trick. It doesn't help to spend too long in in-patient because you aren't facing the challenges you would usually face that you would usually cause you to turn to drugs, so you are only learning the theory of how to stay clean and are not getting any practical experience.

I love that New Mexico’s ACLU allows Trini the weekly volunteer status to sue corrections while smoking pot and leaving 3 other children God knows where while she works on a case she already spent the insurance money. Texas law baffles me. Other states would not give her monies to work and buy gummies for a pain management problem once a damn week in another state. Oh Yeah! 2nd case (very beginning): usually detox facilities (especially ones that accept grants to fund low/no income patients) have policies requiring patients to be either under the influence or have a positive drug test. If someone doesn't meet those requirements, they're refused a bed. * Of course, if they don't stay and finish treatment, then any positive drug screen can and will be used against her.

On the parents lawyer, I assume he doesn’t do a lot of family law/CPS cases. In criminal/civil cases a “status conference” is not something defendants would need to be at. In criminal/civil cases status conferences are just the judge checking in with lawyers to move case forward.

Mom has more issues than I can list. Mom is a typical woman who is abused. No, he never hits me. Another mom who blames everyone but herself. My caseworker didn't do "nuthin'" for me. I understand that 99% of citizens don't think weed is a big deal....fine, but it's still illegal in many states. Mom says "I only use when I'm in NM". Trini says she has memory issues, might be true!! But, she has anger issues and has a serious problem with the truth. 😊

Two things can be true. Abusing alcohol is dangerous for a parent. Abusing any substance is dangerous when you're a parent. If someone can't just not use, then it's more than "just weed" just like it's more than "just a beer" when people can't or won't stop at the expense of their own child
