I wonder how many of these violent offenders this judge gives deferred adjudication schemes to end up hurting or even killing people. She does not seem to be bothered with that high possibility and just loves spending tax money on these failed social experiments. This judge is complicit in allowing most of the violent criminals that are lucky enough to get her as their judge to recommit violent crimes in the near future. She should be held accountable.

Your concerns about the potential risks of deferred adjudication are valid and important, especially regarding violent offenders. It's a complex issue balancing rehabilitation and public safety. What do you think are effective alternatives to this type of sentencing?

You're totally clueless. You're just making assumptions based on one video. She is far from the most lenient judges. Also, every case is different at least somewhat.

This comment may have good intent, but its ignorant and lacking insane amounts of context. If you think she is a soft judge then you haven't seen many court rooms. There is ALWAYS going to be a risk of someone reoffending, no matter what their crime is. You can't just send everyone to life in prison. Just isn't feasible. It's FAR more nuanced than that. You can disagree with the sentences, but I promise none are with the intent to create more victims. I just think you have an unfair, dishonest and surface level view of the court system.

The Problem with This born in 1990s That problem NOT TAKING RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEIR ACTIONS
@Karensincourt2 сағат бұрын
It’s definitely a concern when individuals fail to take responsibility for their actions, especially in a courtroom setting. Accountability is key to justice and rehabilitation. What other factors do you think contribute to this issue?

You can tell Judge Boyd sometimes wants to give someone a long prison sentence but probably can't for political reasons. Instead she gives them parole that she knows they'll fail. 10 years, ankle monitor, drug testing and a job in 90 days? This loser won't make it 3 months.

this hearing was years ago and it was back when things were locked down during covid and people weren't able to get their hours. she's talked about it innumerable times in other hearings.

This video is cut in interesting parts. Maybe cut parts where judge ask “ do you understand “ ? Thanks.
