I would have liked for the judge to have suspended the hearing and mandated the Father bring his son back to court .... this is exactly where parents/ authority figures go wrong - when we do not allow our youth to deal with the consequences of their actions, they become the adults we should not have to deal with ... that letter is the tell-tale sign of what could possibly be on the horizon - the victim actually had more care and concern for this young boys' future by not wanting to press charges and trying to be a decent neighbor .....

When his son gets caught one of these times someone is gonna press charges and Daddy won’t be there to get you out of trouble. If you don’t discipline your kids the real world will. He wanted to protect his child so he didn’t bring the child. That kid will be in lockup one day.

Wow. What a kindhearted graceful woman Mrs Baker is. I hope she works with at risk kids. She'd be amazing.

She is the most well conducted plaintiff I’ve ever seen in a courtroom

All fathers aren't good parents. This father is enabling his son's bad behavior. His son should have been in court to face the Judge and the plaintiff.

I admire the plaintiff. She was very good and didn't want to ruin those kids lives. The defendant need to talk to his son and he also needs to quit minimizing the situation.

He's lucky he didn't go to prison and learn how to be a better thief or spend life in jail. Stop it now before he becomes a real thug!!!

So many fathers like this, let their sons cause chaos & be so nonchalant about it until they end up in jail or worse… Judge Faith was spot on when she said Joe was trying to minimize what his son did smh…. Males like that only learn the hard way
