What God has put together let no man put a sunder for all of us that have comments about their marriage. We are not the creator and we don’t know everything about their marriage. This is just my two cents about a longevity marriage my papa and ma dear was married 71 years . She moved out, but she never divorced and he never divorced her. She came back home to the house that they paid for and it was due them part he expired last year. And her words I’m quoting her words to me. Nobody knows what my husband and I have been through in life, but I love my husband and I miss my husband. So with that being said all those years, Judge Mathis and Mrs. Mathis have been together was love and hard work. Everyone else need to stay out of it negative; if you can’t pray righteous prayers for them close your mouth. We are not the Creator some of us do a poor job dating to get married that part. I WAS ON HIS COURT SHOW in 2007 & YES, his courtroom IS REAL!! I had the pleasure of receiving VIP services from his team as a guest: they picked me up from my place in a Limo and drove me & my sister from Milwaukee to Chicago for the taping of the show, they worked with me, treated me & both my sisters very well, we were styled in the makeup room, served good food in the green room, I rehearsed my statements per the staff, stood before Judge Mathis and WON my case!! He was very professional, cool, meant business and did what he had to do, we really enjoyed ourselves. As we headed to his studio... let me see how to explain it... it's like being on set for a movie... that's how the many studios were but I stood about 15 feet from his bench... he was nicely groomed/ nice looking guy but yes, he has a real audience, the Bailiff was there (lol one of my sisters was crazy about him) so when he walked past our dressing room I said, "aye, the bailiff just walked past did you see him?" She said, "Dang, girl naw where's he at?" I said, "He went that way." My case of the episode WAS later aired on television nationwide, I even had people in the street to stop me saying, "Weren't you on Judge Mathis?" Lol, I was like "Yeahp." But I just want to send my prayers to him & his family during this time praying that it all works out for him. Thank you again Judge Mathis to you and your team for your great service. God bless.

He is 100% right on that "cautionary tale for men" statement. When getting married, there is a lease on how long you can stay out the house and work, even if your wife is 100% behind you while raising your kids. That lease can be 1 month, 1 year, 10, years, or even 30 years. But at some point, that lease will run out and your wife will want to spend a lot of time with you. That's where the "cautionary tale" part comes in. Either it's time to downsize (meaning money won't come in as much), or it's time to figure out a way to make more money more passively -- like in stocks, real estate, or a business from home (or your hometown). If that doesn't happen, the wife is going to dip at some point. That's the catch-22: No woman will just "wait" for their man to spend time with them forever. Even Michelle Obama had problems with Barack while he was president. But she is there physically for the kids...so that does mean something. Kobe's widow Vanessa nearly filed for divorce around 2010-ish for the same reason. They agreed for the kids to attend Kobe's games, and that was settled. Looks like Judge Mathis has to do the same sacrifice.
