He also expected that the legal processes would emulate what most people receive.. However, after the deal fell through (from no fault by Hunter) and the Republican members kept pushing for harsher charges, Hunter was over-charged compared to similar cases.. This could normally be handled through the appears process, however that will be with a corrupted DOJ after Trump is sworn in - sooo - This is clearly deserving of a pardon.. Also, any reasonable person would be anticipating Trump DOIJ from going after after everyone, and that would include Hunter (as a way of hurting Joe).. So, this is definitely deserving a pardon.. I believe Joe did not intend to pardon Hunter.. But after the rallies and all the threats made, he changed his mind with the clearly changed circumstances after the election..

There's several appeals going within Marchans court, but Trump can't appeal the conviction to the appellate level, until he's ACTUALLY convicted in Marchans court. Marchan knows it will be overturned, so he's delaying it/sentencing.

This is the same Judge who denied motion to dismiss the case, when Hunter's lawyers filed it, following Cannon's ruling to dismiss Trump documents case, stating Special Counsel is unconstitutional.
