She wants to stay out of prison and be a housekeeper. Good luck to whoever lets her into their house.

Exactly my thought. They're going to find 1. all their medications vanish 2. small valuables vanish 3. they suddenly have a break in and the burglars know EXACTLY where all the large valuables were located. 4. credit cards and store cards start being opened in their names, online. And HUGE orders are sent out to addresses which people have just moved out of, or which have been vacant for some time. People who break laws shouldn't be allowed to have ANY jobs which involve their going inside the homes of other people. Even if they're part of a group, or the people are at home. IF their record precludes them from getting a fast food job, then they sure as hell shouldn't get past anyone's front door mat.

This whole business of doing NA or AA meetings online....it rather defeats the way the whole thing works. The idea is that people get a significantly different experience if they are participating in their efforts with a whole group of people. People who give them support, or call them out for being deceptive. People with whom they can sympathize and have a joint emotional experience with. There is such a profound difference between being physically present, or joining in via a screen. That is what makes attending a theatre performance so different from, for example, watching television. Remote NA or AA is so obviously a cop out.

At all sentencing hearings the UA should always come first so we can cut out the first and second party BS. This attorney was going on and on with reason and excuse after reason and excuse when nothing she was saying correlated with reality. All sentencing hearings and all bond or probation hearings need to start with results from a UA.
@trainman164713 күн бұрын
I think that having the UA afterward allows the judge to gauge the defendant’s honesty, character, and the extent to which substance use issues exist and may affect the defendant. While I agree that it’s kind of annoying, giving a defendant the chance to come clean is something useful for the judge and probation to see how they can best assist the defendant, if at all, in combination with the actual UA results.

She abuses drugs yet worried about her health..seriously.. thats like my ex sister in law knowing her young son at the time had severe asthma yet kept the filthiest house.. but blamed the school for his attacks on the rug the children sat on as a reason..never mind she smoke 2 or 3 packs of cigerettes a day the childs coat and clothes reaked from the dirty home and cigerette smoke...its a good thing im not a judge because id give them a choice to go to a lockdown rehab for 2 years or a level 4 inmate for 2 years..i dont know about texas allowing smoking in jails or prisons but in michigan its band.. period..and i mentioned a level 4.. because in michigan thats a lockdown for 23 hours a day.i chatted with a few people that did county time. They made a comment when building these prisons why didnt they build it with nothing but 1 person cells. Cause it would lessen the strain on the guards having to break up fights and control gang activity while they serve their time.. they are in there as punishment not to see old pals and socialize... as hard as it is on a inmate in prisons .its actually harder on a prison officer..they can get stabbed and killed or just attacked.. at least a vop can run or use a firearm in similar situations .. but officers arent given much to protect themselves..i know in michigan gangs pretty much controlthe running the prison.i hope someone in a government level sees my comment. And change the design of the prisonss and who actually should control them.. which is the warden and the officers

Please please background check your housekeeper! I support a local nonprofit that trains, boards and walks dogs. They only take in nonviolent, and non theft offenders. Most are recovering addicts. While I am very pleased to be a part of this, and my dogs absolutely love them, there is no way I would allow them the clean my home. On a funny note my GSD is a big sweetie (90lbs) but there has been a few handlers in training that she absolutely hated. She would bark, snarl and growl with her hackles up! Funny enough, those trainees didn’t last in the program, reoffended and put back in jail! She is a great judge of character! One can help someone who is trying to better his or her circumstances, but that doesn’t mean putting your family and home in danger.
