I remember relatives hiring a long licensed "fix it" man to do the pink and white tile on a bathroom floor. He use no tools to ensure the tiles were even, just went by eye. All the tiles when he was done were crooked and looked like a 3rd grader did this job. I learned then to do your homework when hiring fix it or jack of all trades. Sometimes cheaper doesn't always mean better.

Case1: here’s the deal. He didn’t get them to sign a contract that protects him. They knew what they had in him. He admitted willingly that he wasn’t licensed. You have the right to charge whatever you want for your services. He walked into a mess and probably wound up losing profit trying to make it right. This case was wrong and her approach was biased.

Well the issue was more so that he didn’t do the job as instructed. The plaintiffs paid him to do a job to a certain standard to where the tenant could live in the home comfortably. Judge Faith didn’t make him pay the whole amount back; she let him keep 1k for labor since he did do the work. She wasn’t biased at all.

This guy is a fast talking crook who sought to take advantage of the plaintiff's situation. The aunt recommended him because he had done work for her, but rather than admitting that he wasn't a professional plumber and he didn't know how to install a shower properly, he just quoted them what the last crook did and said "Oh yeah....give me $3500 UP FRONT and I will put your shower in." I'm not even a plumber and I can tell that the work he did was not properly done. And then, NOT ONLY did he botch the job, he left it unfinished. He didn't put the door in. He didn't seal the cracks in the grout. He's BASICALLY ridiculous and incompetent and I'm glad the ladies won their case.
