Judge Mathis

Judge Mathis

20 күн бұрын

The plaintiff and defendant used to be in a relationship, and they have a child together. The plaintiff says the defendant assaulted her in front of cops and even sold drugs out of their home. She says the defendant took her car and totaled it when he was drunk, so she’s suing for the value of her car. The defendant argues they came up with an agreement for a payment plan.

That’s editing. They aren’t airing the deleted cuts, & the laughter is just daytime tv levity/splicing. Most programming of this type provides a nominal base fee to the participants. While the cases of family & small claims courts AREN’T especially “funny,” in most instances, sometimes being televised does cause some individuals to preen a little more than necessary-& sometimes, that’s revealing. At other moments, given the circumstances, it’s just sad. At least, on this program, a slice of “Americana” seldom highlighted receives a platform. If the parties involved took matters seriously, they’d be generating seriously better results themselves, for the most part. SOMETIMES it actually is instructive for the claimants, too. Especially, under cross-exam in small-claims. THEY should’ve asked the very same questions themselves (to themselves, too)-but didn’t. It’s a relief, if nothing else, to see vicariously HOW lying to yourself CAN turn out.

Also, lying out drunk in the photo is not funny either. This young man needs help if he's still alive. I wonder who raised him after his mother died. The audience members need a Dr. Jeff (from Paternity Court) before they walk out of the courtroom. However, the American public has always been weird like this. Being entertained by violence, blood and mayhem.

Ummm so we are just going to avoid the fact she is abusive as well towards him ? Or does that not matter because she’s a woman ? This is what I’m afraid of raising a son . Men already feel invalidated enough ; they totally disregarded his experiences with her because she had already painted a certain picture of him. They laughed at his abuse , but hers gained all the sympathy. I see everyone blaming the man , but us women need to take accountability for the men we attract as well. She KNEW bad boys weren’t good for her , yet it’s what she liked ; so it’s what she attracted. She said she liked bad BOYS PLURAL meaning there were men prior to him that she’d consider a bad boy. It’s a pattern. Take accountability for your 🐱and stop projecting and deflecting. He may be a problem , but you’re your own problem as well.
