homelessness and addiction is now big business in america so i dont think the sober living establishments want to solve the drug addiction problem . the same goes for any other type of service that helps addicts and the homeless for govt funding . they dont want their cash flow to dry up .

@@Criminal.Lawyer.2024 My comment was strictly regarding government's role in addiction. It has neither the moral nor Constitutional authority to jail someone for consuming a substance. If two people contract to engage in a deal, that is their business. I'm an Agorist/Libertarian. Also, ya' might wanna research what Jesus thought of government if you wanna go there.
@Criminal.Lawyer.2024 Жыл бұрын
@@modernretroradio993 Again, you are dead wrong. In organized societies there are laws...like them or not. Yes, many of our laws are flawed and favor certain groups. However, most of our laws aim to protect us. So NO, you can't in good faith say "If two people contract to engage in a deal, that is their business". Does that mean one person can sell another their body parts? Does that mean an 11-year-old girl can contract sx with a 50-year-old man? One of my degrees is political science so I completely understand your libertarian philosophy.
@modernretroradio993 Жыл бұрын
@@Criminal.Lawyer.2024 You are making some wildly off-base hypotheticals. My point is a simple one: The Constitution is the law of the land, and any law repugnant to the Constitution is null and void. And the only thing that your Poli/Sci degree tells me is that you have been successfully brainwashed and indoctrinated to this corrupt governmental system. Government does not have the moral or legal authority to mandate what people may or may not consume. If you don't want to be a drunk -- don't. If you don't want to get stoned -- don't. Leave government out of it -- especially since most in government are leeches who benefit from predatory laws, ordinances and mandates upon free Americans.
