You have to teach them responsibilities and accountabilities growing up. He should have had responsibilities growing up and she made sure he did them. You never let your child drive your main car. You let them work part-time as a teen to help contribute to buying them a used car or he can ride a bike to work. Bring in the dad or a male role model in the family. Mom may have a tendency to be too easy on their sons and they become irresponsible like this young man. PS: I am a mom and that’s what we did. We asked successful parents for tips too.
