Fun Fact! Atom and Ceres Beaker are actually genetically modified twins with Loki as their "father." And the Natural Nursery house was using the other definition of Nursery, a garden where young plants are taken care of until they can be moved elsewhere. Your sim's descendants can also live in a variety of houses depending on your current household funds so they can actually move into better houses if your sim in the present is rich.

This pack is actually not developed by the usual development team that did TS3 and its packs. Later on its life cycle TS3 had two dev studios work on it at the same time to pump out three expansion packs every year. TS3 Showtime, Supernatural, University Life, and Into the Future were developed by the EA Salt Lake studio, rather than the classic Maxis or The Sims Studio. EA Salt Lake shut down later on, so their last work on The Sims was ITF. So I don't know if the fact that these packs were done by a different team is noticeable with builds, but just wanted to point that out. Also, as always loved the video. I've been here since Midnight Hollow, and it's been a fun ride!

Thank you for this review. I noticed you may sometimes don't review basement of the house. For instance, in this city there's a family which is prepared for an apocalypse, boxing some stuff under ground. It really goes together with bad version of the future and those meteorites. Anyway, it doesn't make your work worse. Maybe you decided it's better not to include it and that's fine. Your experience really helps to boost our skills in building and to develop a good feeling of design. Really value your work. Thank you ❤️

Humboldt is the name of two Prussian brothers, Wilhelm and Alexander von Humboldt, the former a linguist who founded the Humboldt University in Berlin, the latter a scientist, geographer and explorer. The entirety of Oasis Landing is actually full of references, although I missed this one til now. Then again, I probably missed a lot of other references in other Sims worlds, but Oasis Landing has a lot of references in it I just happen to know (like the plumbot Gladys from the last episode being a reference to GLaDOS from Portal) :D

just recently subbed your channel and i realise how little i explored the sims 3 worlds /builds, as it always lagged i would leave my home as little as possible, but some of the builds are so inspiring, this world is so cool! I never visited it enough as it was the last expansion and by then my mods were breaking my game and the lag made the game unplayable :( Just starting the sims 3 again now and it's so much fun despite the pudding faces, I love your rating series

The builds once again are pretty good, yeah I do think around the final few houses it gets a little tiring to see another modern house with grass roof tops lol. Yes it is a little odd that about 80% of the houses have pools

I must say Oasis Landing, even if I don't like the modern/futuristic style it's very beautiful. The houses are "similar" but they have something particular that made special.

I just recently found your channel so I’m obviously super late here but as someone who’s read an unhealthy amount of Foucault in her days, I feel very strongly about the Panopticon build, which they could’ve driven home as a concept by either designing the build as like a circle with a LOT of fucking windows, or, by somehow emphasizing the whole “you’re constantly under surveillance” thing by using a ton of mirrors, tv-screens, to maximize the feeling of constant exposure. It would make for awful houses though, lol.

Hey there - just started watching you judging builds and it’s like my favorite thing now - will be binge watching all of them. I’ve been playing the sims 3 since 2009 and am a long time lover of the franchise (until 4. Barf. Whatever.) I was wondering if you’d ever consider maybe judging the blueprints from blueprint mode or the pre builds in the gallery - they are so horrendous so I think it would just be a fun video lol. Loving what you’re doing and have hit the subscribe button!

Edit: if the pool was deep enough, it’s totally safe to jump from the roof into the pool! 😄 You know, I grew up in what realistically was a mansion, but you could call it just a very fancy house, built by thieves. My dad was obsessed about buying it from the bank when the thieves were inevitably caught because they built that mansion so hastily. So I can say, from experience, that floor plans do not make sense from quick money people, and even in more well thought out mansions, there is often just a ton of wasted, empty space for no good reason. I mean, we had an open landing with a massive chandelier foyer with a round staircase (tiger print carpet on the stairs 🤮) and marble flooring. Big, cold, and a total heat sink!!! And no good way to use it for furniture either!!! We always just used it for the Christmas tree…

I think Atom and Ceres are a reference to a Sims 2 game on another console (psp I think?). I think in that game Loki genetically engineered two children for himself called atom and Ceres.

gurl i can explain the panopticon in two sentences its just a circular prison designed with a guard at the center the idea is that you can't always see the guard, but he can see and punish you at any time when other prisoners misbehave, so you start policing yourself and others in his stead because the structure instills fear of consequences into you that's it the house in question is not a true panopticon but the idea is that you are the guard who can see your sims from every angle i guess lol

@@RekowcskiYeah. The basic idea is that architecture can affect daily habits which can in turn affect thought. Which is a scary idea, and not necessarily wrong! Especially when you transfer it to any kind of scrutiny of the self or others.

I love these houses because I like their modern structure a lot. A lot of times I don't really want to build because I'm not usually very inspired to do so. Nowadays it only happens in rare occasions to me 😂 But I'm always up for decorating so I remodel them and do some overall changes so these houses. It's great for me and my personal style. I don't like my houses to be so futuristic but they're still pretty awesome I must admit ✨ Btw, which program do you use to record your sims 3 vídeos? 👉🏼👈🏼

@@Rekowcski Gosh! I recently got that one. Which are your settings you're recordings look so good and smooth. Mine looks like it's shaking and some in game letters cut themselves almost in half because of window mode. I guess you record in window mode right? Full screen doesn't work xd

Oasis Landing is not really a vacation world, you can just visit but you can buy a house and stay there forever (even if there are not schools), but your sims can have babies so they would have add more on that honestly 😢

Ok I wasnt sure, I have spend most time travelling in World Adventures and, although you can bring kids, you can't give birth and I think if the NPCs do, they give birth to 'children' haha
