The drop seoi, in the form of ippon-seoi and morote-seoi, are collectively without doubt the most popular judo throws. Here, we show you various forms of morote-seoi.

I’m 5’9” and most of my training partners are taller than me. I almost always end up using Drop Seoi nage in full randori against taller/ bigger judokas. This video is a work of art. Thank you Shintaro for your generous instruction.

Drop seo nagi is my favourite takedown and the most beautiful looks devastating But we rarely practice it because everyone said is too risky having your back taken or exposed.

false, if you are gigachad, you go in quick and crunch. At worst you are closed in hedgehog, at best you win

@@yugiohfanatic1964 I agree with you there pal but the modern players don't go with that tactics, they are too defensive.

I was taught to drop in an angle. Not straight under his legs but spin even more towards your left arm. It’s harder to counter

Never been a fan of dropping on the knees. My sensei always told me it was just a lazy throw and led to nothing if it failed. He always told me stay on your feet with your toes up cause you can get out more easily if you had too.

@@phredbookley183 1. Doesn’t require a GI. 2. Pretty much works in any scenario. The grip is extremely easy, so getting close is all you need for a throw. 3. If someone tries to punch you with their right hand a simple weave to the left and then moving forward is enough to transition into this throw. If we are talking about any take down though, then probably a double knee take down or ankle pick would work best.
