And what´s the name of this variation?
@shinwook51455 жыл бұрын
On the basic one you make contact just above your biceps on the part of their arm close to the armpit but not the armpit?

Infinite Gaming I know drop seoi nage but I actually meant the one before that. That one looks like a yoko wakare.

that's what I was thinking. Bless her heart. I want to see her throw him around a while!

+Andrew Johnson And what makes you feel sorry for her? He wasn't hurting her in any way, so why do you feel sorry? Doesn't make any sense. Moreover, would you have felt sorry for the guy, if he was the one, getting tossed around?

@@aditya_s95 Well as a former judo practitioner, I can tell you it does hurt a bit getting thrown hard. Getting thrown repeatedly at speed can leave you feeling sore. I feel a bit sorry for people that have to be the uke for these kinds of demos. Doesn't matter if they are male or female. Maybe you are one of those judoka that are immune to pain ? Ha ha. Some seem to be. Don't think those mats are soft ! They are pretty hard !!
@aditya_s955 жыл бұрын
@@juandenz2008 Well, yeah that is true... throwing someone with full force, even over the mat, can cause injuries. I remember a guy at my gym, who passed out, after his opponent did an over-committed Osoto Gari. I hate people who throw too hard, during practice or during a demo... they're jerks. But I don't think that was the case over here, in this video... I don't think that the Uke was being thrown too hard. Getting thrown repeatedly can indeed be a bit uncomfortable, but Judo was never about comfort anyways. Have a nice day! Osu!

Clean throws, clean ukemi = next to no pain in being thrown. I've taken literally hundreds of falls at a time doing nagekomi.

She took a lot of falls and hurts to take that many, but I was told that the person getting thrown makes the thrower look good. Maybe in fact she is better than him? Thank you for the very nice techniques.
@aditya_s956 жыл бұрын
+mikel77 Firstly, no, it doesn't hurt. They were demonstrating over a Judo mat, not over the hard, concrete floor. Secondly, it is always the person, with a greater knowledge, understanding & experience, who gives the demonstration. If the girl was better than the guy, then she would've been the one, performing the throws, not the other way round.
