Kim is the last name. Choi sounds like a last name but in this case its a part of the first name 'choi-gwang'. Its the first time ive seen a north korean on these contests though😮

For me also very interesting how North Korea has so strong athletes without training camps

Isn't seoi otoshi when you go on your knees and don't use your legs to throw them over you, but pull them down. And drop tai otoshi when you use the leg to trip them and throw from the side (as tai otoshi), and drop seoi nage when you drop on your knees and throw them over you pushing with your legs. That's how I've heard them being differentiated. Seoi demanding them to go over you and otoshi that you don't use your legs to drive. Based on that it looked like a very clean (modified though) drop tai otoshi, because they used the leg to trip and pulled from the side, no leg drive. I could be wrong about that though.

Maybe you can just google such a question before writing in in someones comment section, its way faster and you dont make a fool out ouf yourself online
@davisjohn-d6h9 ай бұрын
@@dewit2069 It's a serious inquiry, actually. Not many people know how to watch judo on television. Maybe you should know this before making a fool of yourself online.

Zero chance. Probably work out with PRC and maybe Russian coaches. Would have to examine more video to have better idea.

They used to participate in more international tournaments than they do now. In the 1980s, they even held an international Judo tournament.
