Judy Collins opens her May 1976 concert with the Boston Pops Orchestra by singing the Elton John song, "Skyline Pigeon."
Broadcast by PBS TV, the footage was captured on an early model Sony Betamax recorder. Over 35 years later, thanks to KZbin, it has a new audience of Judy Collins fans worldwide.

Amazing footage! Thank you for this post. Judy Collins is amazing--she is brilliant. In 1977--the year after this performance, she had surgery to remove a hemangioma on her left vocal chord. Judy went into an inpatient facility for alcoholism in April 1978. She overcame all of it and is happy and healthy today. Judy Collins is an inspiration to us all!

THANKS FOR POSTING! I prefer Elton's versions, especially at the Ryan white funeral, but good lord, Judy looks like a goddess ! Dying? Not bloody likely - this woman is indestructible.

meltzerboy 7 months ago One would never have guessed that Judy Collins was dying from the disease of alcoholism at this stage of her life and career. As she stated, her career seemed to have a life of its own; nothing she did could completely slow it down. She is wonderful here, as always. Thanks for sharing, betahifi.
