This interview is a fan favorite.
Judy was in great shape, relaxed and very funny. We can also see what a great storyteller she was when she talks about growing up in vaudeville, her days at MGM and her live concerts.
She sings "Little Drops of Rain", "Paris Is a Lonely Town" and "Mewsette", from Gay Puree.
Part 3 of 4.
Enjoy!

"Paris" is one of her best vocals of the early 60's TV appearances. See also "Ol' Man River". Both stunning performances. I love Judy.

I love Jack Paar's approach to interviewing her--he just gives prompts for stories and lets her excellent storytelling take over.

Judy is in such great Voice.. Truly, one of a kind. Liza and Lorna have a hard act to follow, even though Liza has made her own mark in show business but just listen to this Powerful voice! A voice we will shall never see in our lifetimes again.. Thank you GOD, for giving us this marvelous woman!

This had to be the best TV interview that Judy ever gave. The story about Orson Welles and Oscar LeVant was hilarious and she made it funnier with her gestures and giggling. I loved the Way she had to stand up to sing the song. It was almost as if she knew her energy needed freedom to be let loose and give her Fans all over, the Garland experience..

Could listen to her smoky voice talking and singing all day every day. Terrific interview, the style of which we are unlikely to see again. She had nothing to plug, just her voice and her brilliant gift for story telling.

The early 60s were a high point for Judy, Carnegie Hall and TV appearances like these, just priceless.

You can see how the idea for a Judy Garland show came from this appearance, why on earth they didn't let Judy do what she always did best, tell fabulous funny stories and sing... now that's entertainment!

I know I leave many comments but I just don't understand the ppl who bad mouth Judy here, leaving negative comments about this Great Woman. Those who don't like her, why bother watching & being cruel to a Woman who gave so much to her fans? She was a Great Talent but also a human being w/flaws & issues but had a huge heart & gave millions of fans hrs of joy! Judy worked all of her life giving us many hrs of joy. Judy was a living legend @ a time when that word actually meant something. R.I.P. JG

@NFitalianGuy Judy face lit up when she was receiving such love from her fans by their cheering and going nuts with applause. I bet she must have felt like a little kid when they would open their Christmas or birthday presents and finding out that they got exactly what they wanted..She had the greatest reverence for her fans & she must have felt so much love because she gave so much love to all of us; Even those of us who weren't born yet. I can feel it & wish I could've seen her in person :-)

@plp1964 I agree, Judy was mesmerizing when she talked. They say your singing voice should be the extention of your speaking voice and Judy's voice was sheer magic whether in song or speech. Judy dated both Orson Welles and Oscar LeVant during her MGM yrs. Yul Brynner was to have said that the only woman he Loved was Judy Garland, even after their affair ended. I am pretty sure his son wrote about that in his Father's Bio. Judy is MAGIC!

I actually like her singing voice better as a mature woman than as a child, as lovely as her younger voice was. I love how her experience and hard-knock life comes through this sad, sad song.

@plp1964 Oscar Levant was a brilliant concert pianist who also acted in movies in the 40s and 50s. He was in classic musicals like "The Bandwagon" and "An American in Paris."

Died just seven years after this show. Alleged accidental drug over dose. Sad that she only lived 47 years, a lot of that tragically depressed on drugs and alcohol.

Frank, she resents it, that people think of her as a tragic figure, she herself said that she had many great and fun times. And Judy was not an alcoholic. I've known a few alcoholics in my day and she wasn't anything like they were. Even the medical examiner in London said that.
