I'm one of those people. Found this video in high school and never forgot it. I still sing the cream of wheat song when making it for breakfast. My husband said he thought I had just made up the lyrics myself before I showed him this haha.

This holds up stunningly well to repeated viewings. At least 50 times since 2012 and it still makes me laugh hard, especially when Judy hits that high note. If Liza could see this, it's nice to think she'd get a kick out of it. Given her own hilarious turn in Arrested Development, I think she'd laugh too!

I'm a huge Garland fan, and I'm still crying from laughter. Liza's voice is funny in a cartoonish way, but Judy's voice is the perfect combination of cadence and inflection... it is a brilliantly realized imitation. Only a real Garland aficionado will truly appreciate this odd and hilarious video.

Glad we could bring some cheer! Believe it or not, we heard Liza's medley mentioning Cream of Wheat, after we did this video. We were both awed by the serendipity! It was also an unexpected surprise to find we posted this video on Liza's birthday unintentionally, and in the video she mentions, "Come on Mama... It would be kind of a present to me!" :) I guess it was all meant to be!

My portion is quick...it really didn't take me much longer to write and record this as it does to play it. It is Chris' job that is time consuming. Pure Genius! Your parody is right on target: Judy's affectations, dropping the volume and pitch at the end of some words, the rushed, breathless way of speaking. Using lines Judy actually said in performance made it real for this Garland fan. Cross fading the visuals to match your script.. quite excellent..using the shot of her pushing in that vein on the left side of her throat before going to the high note..well, I could go on and on..Excellent video!
