In 1999 I rented a Hughes 500 from Western Copters (I think it was called) for my aerial photo mission of the completed Ontario Airport terminal. I arrived (drove from the Van Nuys area) early so I wondered around and stumbled upon Mrs. Scholl inside her hangar. It was a quiet Saturday afternoon. She was very friendly and I shared my memories of watching Art's airshows at El Toro and Reno from the late 70s until his final show at Reno '85. He and his Chipmunk made an everlasting impression on me. Today I am enjoying my personal photo archive and memories from those years again and again. Art's airshows were magical, like watching an Olympic figure skater or gymnast, ... the way he was one-with-the-plane. Very sad to see Rialto close.
