That's the worst thing you can do because you're just pushing in a lot of air into the product and making it dry out faster plus getting more bacteria in. You should just put the wand inside, roll around the edges and then take it out for more product.

I did someone else's makeup for the first time yesterday and I'm proud to report my first "client" was sitting up and I didn't use my fingers! Also, idk how but I managed to apply mascara to her short lashes with no stains and not poking her in the eye with the plastic wand! The eyeshadow took me about an hour but my quickness with eyebrows, contour and blush made up for it. She was shocked by how good her eyebrows looked. OMG! Your poor eyes! I would never do that to another person! I did shadow liner on her upper and lower lash line and didn't touch her waterline, she legit would have cried *involuntarily* bc she was wearing contacts. No tears were shed and the makeup lasted all day. 😊

A tip that I've learned from a makeup artist is if you want long eyelashes, curl your eyelashes first then immediately put mascara, wait for it to kind of dry a little bit and curl it again and hold it for 15 seconds then wait for it to dry a little bit and curl it again and wait for 15 seconds. I have pretty small eyelashes but when I do that routine so many people compliment me and say my eyelashes look like false eyelashes
