Thank you!! Beautiful explanations of how art style comes about -you really took me back to my favorite illustrated books as a child, also seeing in my minds eye a puffy powder blue polyester bridesmaid dress my mother wore when I was 5 and all the patterned clothes I wore in my young adulthood to my current garden of absolutely gorgeous flowers of all colors and textures and the insects that live among them. It really gave me a huge glimpse of where and why my art looks as it does. Just wonderful insight and powerful encouragement. ❤ Thank you so much!!!

Recently I have become hyper sensitive to quality of voice, and yours is one I can embrace and receive from Judy. It's calm, informed, authentic - coming from a place of honesty and love and with a sprinkling of humour. Thank you for all you are bringing to the creative sphere

This is coming to me at just the right time, as I am asking myself these questions about where I want to head with my art. I feel like I have just been spinning in circles but I’m starting to hone in on what excites me. Thank you.

Hi Judy…I can’t tell you how much this has helped me. I’m not a beginner artist, I have been drawing and painting my whole life. I never thought or worried about style until I joined Instagram a few years ago. I feel that social media has been a big hindrance for me. I’m always comparing my work (which has a lack of definitive style) to others who have hundreds and thousands of pieces with a clear artistic voice. Your video has helped me try to let go of some of that pressure, and just get back to painting what i want, when I want. Thanks again!

Oh, I'm so pleased to hear this Dianne. I'm sure others see a style in your work - sometimes we're just too close. It will be there, just keep painting and it will get stronger - and you still might not see it!!

Always so pleased when there’s a new vid by you ...thank you SO much, when my life is sane again and I’m resettled I am doing your course My prob is wrecking the superficial initial success of a painting (the sort of shallow but pleasing first stage), I know I have to lose this stage to get to the deeper success but I always lose the whole painting between those stages

That's a very good idea to enroll in one of Judy's courses because that exactly what she addresses. There are many techniques to move a painting past the first stage and lots of questions to ask yourself to determine your next move. We are looking forward to seeing you on a course in the future.
