Hell yeah! My dad was in the NSW Fire Brigade - Kings Cross, all over Sydney and Wollongong. Was a hippy surfer from the 60's - when they had no wetsuits (woolen jumpers and no legropes apparently). Sadly passed away near the end of covid. Losing a family member is a heavy permanent scar but you carry on. We used to go on holidays to Coolangatta every now and then, dad never got Kirra on the pump. But I live here now and everytime I get a pearler, I think of my dad. Epic surfing Justen, stay humble and true! True slablord!

Not sure if you’ll see this Justen but I worked with Brendan on the Pacific Valkyrie and he is an absolute legend. He took me under his wing and made what was a difficult time a hell of a lot better. I was extremely sad to hear of his passing. He is one of the good ones.

I am a Surfer/Cameraman. I had a Close up of Justins wipeout at Red Bull Cape Fear 2016. He went down hard, it took a long time for him to come up. When he did i started crying. i thought he was gone i could see blood and concussion. Water medics were on it . i still had the shot of Jug on the mat and it did not go to Air. But i was crying . They put Contest on hold . He was rushed to Hospital .Justin was too strong ,he turned up on the Point the next day.
