You know what? I've conjured up every excuse in the book from not being able to afford a juicer to not being able to afford to eat only fruits and vegetables. But no more excuses. I'm going to get a juicer TODAY. Even if I can only afford to go 3 or 5 days, I'm going to do it....

You don't need a juicer. A normal handheld blender does the trick. I do all my juices with my blender. You don't need to only eat fruits and vegetables. My husband and I only did one day of detox, after that we started eating veggie smoothies in all meals and added solid foods. In any case, your body is the first place you live in, maybe you can cut other expenses to be able to pay for the veggies. What you cannot afford is to break your body: there are three things in life, health, money and love, but without health, the other two are less enjoyable.

Day three here also. Actually not too bad, but I'm peeing a lot. And I'm trying to drink 6 quarts a day. I loved how you explained that once your cells are neutralized you become satiated and hunger goes away..I've been sleeping on the mechanics of my beautiful body..never no more..this will be my life for now on..what an eye opener..thank you so much..a very simple diet that I can follow with ease.

This is so good and to the point. The only thing that annoys me is when people cannot differ between smoothies and juices. They seem to think that a Nutribullet is the same thing as a juicer. Anyway, for anyone considering juice fasting, I´d say go for it! It´s gonna be the best thing you ever did for your health BUT, keep on doing it even after you start eating solid food again. Drink at least one juice a day for maintenance. I´m Muslim and it´s Ramadan right now. We are used to going without ANY food or water between sunrise and sunset. I find that, after the first 3 days, something in your body just switches and you start feeling okay. It´s only the first 3 days that are challenging. Key is to keep yourself busy. Fasting at work is easier than being at home during the weekends. Just because working makes me forget that I´m hungry. And I also become more efficient, as I get extra time from not needing to food-prepl.But not all have to dive in that deep directly. I´d recommend watching Dr.Berg´s info about intermittent fasting here on YT. You can ease yourself into it by only fasting a few hours everyday. There are countless scientific studies that detail the process of fasting and its effects on the human body. In my case, by the time Ramadan is over, I can PHYSICALLY feel that my stomach has shrunk (inside). You just can´t eat as much as before and you kinda like drinking water rather than over-eating. It´s like your body pressed a reset button. What I´ve learned through Ramadan fasting each year, is that, to get some great results, one has to be okay with being uncomfortable for a while. Nothing worth having comes easy. So if you REALLY wanna get fit, lose those extra pounds that you´ve slowly put on through years of neglecting yourself, you need to give yourself about 6-8 weeks of doing something totally new (like juice fasting) and be uncomfy for a while. Food is a blessing I believe, but modern man has little clue about how processed and GMO everything is today. Don´t start hating food and give yourself eating disorders! But do your reasearch and know that food can be abused by indulging too much or eating to mask emotions. This is the secret of fasting, whether you´re a believer or not. It makes you learn where your emotions and hidden dependancies lie. But once you learn to say know to a glass of water, you can say no to anythin! You get power back, insted of food, sex, nicotine or sugar cravings having power of you. Fasting goes deeper than just abstaining from food. It´s discipline, facing your hidden emotions (mental health) and kinda connecting with yourself on a spiritual level or with our creator so to speak.

@carlamacht25 жыл бұрын
What machine did you get? Thank you. How did you pick it?
@Khwaab4 жыл бұрын
@@carlamacht2 Carla, mind if I butt in? Noticed that you didn´t get any reply. There´s a website called ukjuicer.com and they have great info to start off with. The gist of the matter is that there are basically 2 types of juicers: Masticating and centrifugal. Joe is using a centrifugal in the clip and they come cheaper. There are advantages and drawbacks to both but, the masticating ones are quite expensive because they extract a lot more (and create minimum froth at the top). 1. Masticating juicers (also called slow juicers) are best for someone who has a disease, like cancer, as they really go into the very deep layers of a vegetable or fruit´s cell walls. Maximum extraction of nutrients. However, they are harder to clean and you must cut up the vegetables into a lot smaller bits. Masticating ones are perfect for someone who wants the best of the best juice extraction. They are much better at handling vegetables than other juicer types. Leaves and things don´t get stuck. They also offer being able to make nut butters etc. Also, the biggest argument for getting a masticating one is that they have a slow rpm, which means that it uses minimum heat to juice and that results in nutrients not getting killed due to the heat of the machine, and preventing the juice to get oxidized too fast. 2. Centifugal juicers do the job if you´re just a normal person with, say, eczema or overweight, and juicing for general health. They have the advantage of being able to take whole apples and bunches of kale, without the prep of cutting which otherwise takes 20-30 mins. Yet they do not extract as deeply as a masticating one. They are much easier to clean and juice a lot faster too. But they have a high rpm, so they create heat which some argue kills nutrients in the juice quite quick and also oxidation. As for me Carla. I chose to go all out for my health and bought a masticating one. I figured it´s a life investment and they were giving 5 years guarantee. If you break down the cost of all the stupid creams, makeup, pills, supplements etc. that I have wasted my money on over the years, I´d rather have put those into a kick-ass juicer. It cost me a lot to buy organic produce too but, I can honestly say that it´s worth it when you see the incredible health benefits of juicing. Hope this info helps you! Whichever juicer you choose, you´re gonna realise down the path that it´s the best investment in your health and looks. If you´re a lazy person, choose a centrifugal. If you have a lot of room on the kitchen counter and don´t mind cutting veggies for 20 mins, get a masticating one.

If you can stay away from people for those 3 days, I do think it makes everything easy. I was home ALONE when husband was on a trip, and had a lot of harvest from gardens. I went to town, after having my first juice, shopped only what was on the list, and hunkered in for 3 days. It was so easy I could not believe it. Ok so I'm a forced juicer had 2 stroks one on the left one the next year on the right hi blood pressure ect. I am only 43 no children fell into food from depression blah blah blah! Anyway a few tips beets apples carrots are sweet sweet sweet to any veggie drink so i use beets carrots apples as a base than add kale spinach ginger ect. Than it's a NO brainer to drink it's sweet and good so it's addictive it will also fight sugar cravings because you are getting natural sugar your body is satisfied with that ! Next to tired feeling in my opinion is low blood sugar especially as you began so if you still have to work and live life I alternate with protein shakes that is very low in sugar but high in protein so my body doesn't get pissed lol at least I'm not eating McDonalds lol. Get veggies from markets ect i juice for 3 days at a time so I'm prepared first 2weeks 15.2 lbs Down and I was hospitalized for 4 days also last tip I snack on nuts sometime and I'm still loosing weight almost 2lbs a day! I watched his documentary today and found it inspiring, jumped straight on eBay and bought a juicer. I don't need to loose weight but want to try and eliminate my auto immune disease and feel healthier....I'm all for this juicing thing, makes total sense to me, I love what he's done and I congratulate him on what he's achieved however.....call me skeptical but I cant help but think the "Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead" documentary was entirely funded by Breville...absolute genius from their marketing team I must say and they've turned him into quite the salesman, well played Joe!

Conspiracy theory much do ya? Joking aside I usually connect the same dots as not to be dupped. But in this case I believe Joe is genuine and his story true. But if it was a marketing scheme they need to sue Nutribullet because they have all the marketshare. LOL

He never mentions which juicer he used/ placed it. He uses different ones in different videos also A company approached him after I believe, and that would be Nama if I am not mistaken. I bought their product used from a person who used it 3 times of the internet. Perfect condition. So there are definitely alternatives out there 😊

i been juicing for awhile now. I juice celery and cucumbers every morning. In the evening I juice celery and cucumbers as my base then add in my leafy green (which I rotate daily), lemon and ginger. I do change it up or you will get bored. I also recommend using a slow rpm juicer not the one this guy uses. The high speed kills the nutrients and oxidizes your juice. Still better than nothing though
@lipservice98188 жыл бұрын

You have to do what you will stick to or you won't do nothing @all.I had a Omega slow juicer best on the market in its bramd.I juiced awhile.You have to cut the veggies.I ended up going to the ER because before i started i knew something was wring.My hemoglobin was 7 .So now its 9.6 -10.?I returned the juicer cause i lost some cash an needed to replace.Someone bought me a Hamilton juicer I hear about the low was better but..I juiced just celery all week.I buy organic.I rinse it at night.8nstead of dragging to the coffee pot.All i do is grab from the refrigerator an its juiced in 2 minutes.My point is its better than nothing an its doable.I have hypo thyroid ,Low Iron,Low Blood ,Cholesterol an im already vegan..Doing something is better than nothing.I drink my 16 oz in 15 -20 So its freshest.My Pulp is pretty dry.It takes 5-6 mun to rinse an wash the strainer with a brush.Like i said with my low energy.This is all I'm.able to do. Oh i do not clean it i do carrot an ginger in a few hours .I eat a salad soups,Wraps etc for dinner an Banana with Almond butter for a snack.

I have juiced for about 30 years and I don't understand why people automatically think you would have no energy or stamina & that you'd feel like crap because you're putting good food into your body instead of all the poisons that you've been putting into your body. It works quite the opppsite. Once you stop putting all that garbage in your system you feel great👍 another thing that always cracks me up is people always ask me what don't you eat food and I'm like what do you think this is? LOL. Of course I eat light lunch and dinner what have you I make vegetable sandwiches or organic chicken breast for dinner or something like that but most days I don't eat any meat at all I just juice and it works great. My kids have called me a rabbit their whole lives.

@Mistanyycguy6 жыл бұрын
Dude. Our bodies would hate us if we eat eggs after such a long juice cleanse. Eggs don't just have protein, they are a major source of cholesterol and saturated fats! It's better to ease your way back into heavier foods after days of eating lighter and softer foods, like high water content fruits, soups, smoothies then veggies, nuts, seeds, grains beans/legumes.

My hunger pangs are so awful doing Joe's juice reboot that I won't be on it much longer. I drink a gallon of freshly made juice a day..and still I am starving and wanting to eat food. I even started eating a little bit of vegetables to help..but it really isn't. This diet just isn't for everyone I'm afraid. But I'll still continue to juice..I just can't make it my sole source of nutrition to lose weight sadly.
@wiaam6978 жыл бұрын
I think what Joe pointed out is important about not juicing for the sole purpose of losing weight. You have to change your mind set about dieting. No "diet" for a short period of time is going to "change your life". It has to be a determination of wanting to change the way you eat for the rest of your life to live a better life. So think of it as juicing for better health, and if he can do it for 60 days, anyone can do it for a few days. Having said that, I agree with you it is not for everyone. I personally just see a great benefit of adding juice as part of your regular diet, but not have it be your entire diet. Good luck!
@Nightbird.8 жыл бұрын
Wiaam Sal I've actually been pretty surprised at some of the reactions I've been getting from this post which I made on some other juicing videos as well. Some people are acting like juicing is some freaking spiritual transformation..instead of what it really is..which is a tool to help you lose weight (if you follow it the way Joe Cross did) or just add more nutrition to your diet in a very effective and concentrated way. I had to tell two guys off the other day..because they just assumed I was some idiot who ate bad food and became fat from it..and just wanted a quick fix. One of the SOB's even had the nerve to tell me "Just quit now..because your doing it for all the wrong reasons"..and I was like "WTF? Who the hell are you to judge me like that and tell me what to do when you don't even know me?!"..lol. I told them how I became overweight from illness and injuries..and guess what Einstein's? I've been into healthy living, eating and alternative healthcare and nutrition for over 25 years. You can become overweight from eating healthy food too..especially if you are not as active due to illness and injuries like me..but they just assumed the worst. Joe made it very clear that this diet is made to get you from point A to B as quickly and painlessly as possible..whether you want to believe in eating healthy or not..and that once you get to point B..you can choose to either gain it back or eat better. Heck..even he gained about half of his weight back too in the Part 2 movie..but says that is just human nature..and that you can always reboot again to take it off..rinse..repeat..lol. I'm doing better on the juice diet..and am learning that some weeks my body just says "no" and I don't do it..and then other weeks I'm good to go. Take care!

Hello, I read through some of the community pages, and the help pages for reboot, and watched videos, but I still have a question.... does eating the PULP after I juice ruin my 3-day reboot? I find that after I had my juice I am still hungry, my stomach is mashing and turning and it wants SOLID food. So I started eating some of the pulp after I drink the juice to help calm down my angry stomach. Is this ok? Am I running the 3-day reboot by doing so? Thanks so much.
