Bummer to hear. I own a Rip Current S with the XL frame. XL frames are not very common in eBike land so have been very happy with the fit. Luckily I've haven't had problems with my bike and I have around 2600 miles on it.

They are no different than the vast majority of these direct to consumer ebikes. They use the cheapest parts they can possibly find. Which means the parts are at best entry level for a bike. They put the fastest motor that they can find on it. Which now means you have entry level parts for a bike going much faster on a much heavier bike. They also have made these to where they are outside the legal definition of an electric bike. They give away a few of these junk bikes to show called reviewers, who would be more accurately labeled as salespeople. Believe me I know. I took two ebikes for review, and after they sent them, they wanted to control the review completely. That is the last time that happens to me. But there are dozens of others out there more than willing to do this for a free bike. Even though the bike is junk.

Yeah, You learned the same things as me. So, I'm not for more regulations, I know the Motorcycle are regulated, but are regular bikes? MTB? My Town has declared the Super 73 type MC Ebike off road only, No Street Riding. no paved trails, single or double track.

@@UncleFjester I am certainly not for more regulations as well. But the way things are going, all bikes are going to be getting regulated unless something changes that will leave the already established classes alone and away from the regulations. That’s what my push is going to be.

We got over 400 miles of trails so they stay up to date, pretty quick. 65 & Over are the only ones allowed Class 1 on Single tracks. So I have that going for me, which is nice. 🤣

Not surprised Juiced is dead. My Ripcurrent S was a cheap Chinese bike with a decent battery attached. They even lied about components, claiming Tektro and Shimano, when mine arrived with no name brakes, shifters, hubs, etc. Good luck keeping them running. Zero customer service sealed their fate. At least I got my money back. Feel bad for anyone stuck with one today as they weren’t cheap.

More like a Chevy Vega in the garage. I just finished replacing the three nylon planetary gears in the hub motor myself. Removing the three tiny internal snap ring retainer clips off the gears was a toothache. But it's done. AnyWHO, thanks for the info even though I'm 8 days late to the party. That explains why they haven't restocked jack shit. Yet, they introduced that new folding bike, the Jetcurrent Pro. 🤣

I never had a "Junk Bike", but I always thought it was lame how they would govern most of their bikes with the exception of whatever the most expensive bike they're selling at the time was, and to ungovern them they make you buy a new controller. They were also a lot heavier than they needed to be.

Since I've owned two juiced bikes, scorpion x2, and hyperscrambler 2. My past experiences with those bikes are ok. Too bad that juiced bikes was bankrupt and force to shut down their business with 1.2 million dollars.
