Juiced Hyperscrambler with Insta360 One X - Full Ride in Atlanta

Still working on full edited reviews for both the Juiced Hyperscrambler (purchase on Indiegogo), and the Insta360 One X. For now, here's an raw test ride through Little 5 Points Atlanta, to Brother Moto Coffee/DIY Motorcycle club.
I'm still working with Juiced Bikes to resolve the throttle and controller issues I'm having with this bike. You can see that the bike is rideable, but it's not acting as promised yet.
Pretty stoked on the Insta360 One X. How do you like the angle(s)? Would you prefer a 360 video where you can control the camera, or do you like it like this?

Nice ride. I really feel you're doing yourself a disservice by not wearing a helmet. Coming off that at top speeds is a death sentence. The cam is amazing though! I couldn't figure it out.

Thanks for the vid! 360 cam is cool! The first hyper fat and hyper scrambler, that were shipped, have controller issues, which can be fixed with new software.

The high speed only comes with peddle assist because it’s a computer setting for cities that regulate E bikes you can change that it in the software. I don’t own one but I have been looking at specs and stayed at a holiday inn suite.

Enjoyed the videos and loved the camera, but please invest in a helmet. I personally own a Kask Lifestyle which has an urban look but more importantly a visor to prevent tears.

There’s a name for that sensor It keeps you from hitting the throttle while your off it / loading it in truck or house so you don’t loose your hand in the back wheel. They all have it. It makes sure your on it intending to move ride.

Great video! I’ve been enjoying using the onex camera as well. Any thoughts on juiced vs super73? I was debating between this bike and the S1 bike. Spec wise it looks like the hyper is the way to go, but really like the look of the S1.

I really like what you did with the 360 cam, so awesome. Keep feeding us more plz while I wait for my hyper! Are you getting any accessories? I wonder as well if your frame has the new brackets for foot pegs and rear rack.. would you ever want to carry that backpack in a front basket or would it make the steering too heavy? I noticed you needed to stand up for the harsh bumps.. pretty stiff ride overall?

My frame does not have the holes for the pegs in the back..... which I'll be uploading a separate video with my opinion on that whole situation. The ride is pretty stiff, however what isn't portrayed very well in the video is How Bad the Atlanta roads are. With the weight of the bike, a bump could really rocket you forward with the momentum.

Very cool! I read your production notes about the lav mike and the Zoom H1; that you had the cam 14" out until the tunnel and then down to 9 inches. My question... how did you attach the stick to the handlebar. And were you using the Insta360 standard stick? I'd like to use the cam on my bicycle, my Can Am Spyder, my jetski and my kayak... any additional tips would be much appreciated. Thanks--very cool use of the Juiced bike and the Insta360 One X.

I had the same issue, with my hyper, it seems to be an easy fix where you increase the max speed, then the motor wont cut out when you hit the throttle, I think

I just got my City Scrambler Monday and did some test rides up a short steep hill. I have also noticed that the boost mode (pedaling with throttle) is not seamless, it seems to hesitate and the added power is not as noticeable as it is with my Cross Current Air 650. For the hill test the 750 City Scrambler did 13.1 mph on throttle alone, and 15.8 on throttle with light pedaling ie. in boost mode. Tests of the Cross Current Air 650 got 15.8 in throttle only, and 18.8 in boost mode, and in one case when I suspect I pedaled hard 19.7 mph. The CCAir is rated for 960 watts peak power and the City for 1295, clearly, I'm not getting that kind of difference in performance. As you mentioned speed calibration, my speedometer was reading high also. The throttle topped out at 25 mph, briefly I thought I had a bike with a loophole around the 20 mph limit, but decided to check my speed using Strava before I got too excited. You can download the Strava app for runners and cyclists to a phone and it will trace your routes giving you your speed at each point. A good test of power will be to find a hill and ride up it. Almost certainly cyclists will have created segments on the hill and your speed and estimated power will be shown, so you can ride up in different modes. You can also check your speedometer. My default wheel diameter of 2225 was about 25% too high, it should probably be ~ 1800. I set it to 1780 and now the throttle tops out at 19.7 mph. Due to the wide seat pedaling the scrambler is difficult although it seems to accelerate better pedaling than on throttle. I have only gotten up to 26 mph but haven't done a long enough straight away to really test it. But the cross current is much easier to pedal to 28 mph and maintain that speed. That being said I live in a congested area 20 mph is adequate and the scrambler is very comfortable and fun to ride.

In subsequent hill tests after a full charge the City Scrambler climbed at 14.6 in throttle only in both speed and race mode; and 18.8 in throttle + pedal in speed mode, 20.8 mph in race mode for throttle + pedal.

Hey Jared. I live out I-20 in Warrenton with great trail's in and near state parks and Clark's Hill lake with family on Lake Oconee. My Hyper was supposed to arrive today. Waited all day and Fed-ex said their coming tomorrow. I'm also waiting on the Dualomo/Bustin e-skateboard also on indiegogo that should be here before the end of the month. I have a old pick up if you want to talk about maybe getting some ATL riders to ride together. Heard from any?

Sounds like either a dead spot in the potentiometer in your throttle or a torque sensor issue. I doubt its a controller issue. That thing is rock solid.

I'm on my 3rd controller so far from Juiced support. It's gotten better, but still not perfect. Many variables to check though; you're right, it could be the sensor itself.

@@LifeOnTech The 3rd controller for the same issue? If so, then it's really not looking to be an ECU issue. I'm surprised Juiced hasn't tried to diagnos it better. I had to wait months for an ECU for my Ripcurrent while they had me check connectors for the 11 time. Id consider letting them have the bike for a proper fix. Yeah, it's a bitch sending it back, but it will be on their dime.
