CP2077 is a solid RPG with writing that slaps fallout 4 back to where it crawled out of. Its combat is solid on a fundamental level as well as most of the game. The driving could be worked on as it's a little bit.. Funny. But better than GTA V. The game was overhyped. That's what went wrong. Even now it'll never live up to the "techie city life simulator" where everything has a storyline that I saw people squealing over. That's not the game cyberpunk is trying to be.

The first Red Dead Redemption had a bounty hunting system that generated bounties endlessly. That feature was missing in RDR2 and the game was poorer for it imo. That's the kind of feature we're asking for in CP2077.

The most rational explanation for the future of the game considering they outsourced the latest update was as a "real-life" testing the abilities/capabilities of Virtuous to deliver. They agreed on a "small update" with many little additions (but technically diverse) to assess their abilities. If they pass, they work on "something bigger"... So well, a risk/reward assessment I would say.

Don't forget that Cyberpunk 2077 is releasing on new macs next year. My bet is that Virtuos are also the ones working on the port to apple silicon. It's a good idea to keep adding content and updates for a game that has sold 30 million copies (plus 8 million copies of Phantom Liberty) and that it's coming to a new platform. They may be even working on a port for Switch 2, who knows.

To be honest Red engine still considered as state of art engine and Cyberpunk easily beats so many modern releases with its excellent graphics. Personally i've never understood why Cdprojekt decided to not continue DLCs and ditched their Red engine after working so long on it. With a second season of Edgerunners and more good DLCs they could easily continue for years and even make the game more popular. It doesn't make sense to me, perhaps they changed their mind too and there could be a DLC cooking..

Cdpr has my full support I'd been a sceptic in the past but lately I've been playing tf outta cyberpunk and even am learning how to play cyberpunk red. Favorite game universe right now. Honestly the game still has so much life, we the fans want all they can give and I’d love to see the just continue to build the world of cyberpunk, they’re is so much lore to build on and stories to tell

These updates keep the game alive/active while helping the hype for the sequel. There's are so many activities/mini games and ops they can to the game, along with new interiors. Mod support is the biggest though, needs to happen asap!

I read a theory that the cat ( 5:10 ) is a reference to a cat named Oscar who resided at the "Steere House Nursing and Rehabilitation Center". Oscar was said to be a death predictor as he would gravitate towards people who would end up passing away shortly after, even ignoring other people to be near that specific person.

They hired them for patch or two, to get the feel and direction of CDPR. And they will help them with Orion, as the team will get closer to CDPR ideas and visions thru work on patches imho

They definitely should continue to update the game and they gotta get official mod tools out so the community can keep the game alive and strong. Just look at Skyrim that game is bare bones and massively bland in terms of comparing it to modern games and technology and yet it’s still going strong because of mod support! So just imagine a well thought out mod tool kit similar to the creation kit and boy this game has so much mod potential it’s crazy I think they can keep CP2077 going strong for another decade or until Orion gets near.

Relatively simple things that I wish for a final update, along with some things I've been wanting since the release: - Latest FSR support with DLSS + FSR Frame Gen support - More Edgerunners stuff, like Lucy's outfit and hair and aparment/easter egg. - Also ponytail/every hair style in the game available for us, along with unique some/all clothing that NPCs have(such as transparent hoodie I saw some NPCs wear). Would be also great to have a easier clothing mod support, so we could copy/paste and have it appear as a separate purchasable item in shop or internet shop. - Ability to change LUTs in game officially with their tweaked versions of 2018, 2019, 2020 and cinematic LUTs. And maybe a alternative HUD option. - Would appreciate a feature to disable fast travel and some improvements to the metro system to make it easier, so I'd have an excuse to use it often. I think those are some reasonable things to dream about, as most of those should be fairly easy to implement and/or are available with mods or ingame(althought I imagine some of them would be harder to make), but would be great to have them officially.

While update 2.2 was a pleasant update to be sure, I don’t think it should be classified as a “big” update! Sure it fixed a bunch of bugs and added a bunch of little stuff, it’s not like it was a complete overheard. But if Virtuos is gonna keep a game I’m still pumping hours into alive I’m all for it!

I think they could be testing the water, maybe outsourcing the most of a games updates for a future projects, a separate update and pach team would be handy for any big game CDPR is planning in the future

i once found a really hippie looking van that reminded me of the mystery machine the colors were the exact same, i've yet to see it since so hopefully this update brings some cool vehicle skins to use.

I just got back into this game a week ago. I've had it for years, but they kept adding and changing things. I didn't want to play through it, just to have to play through it all over again to experience all the updates. Nice to know the game hasn't been altogether abandoned by CDPR.

I think the "Why hire an outsourcer for just a patch" could be pretty simple. I believe that they were given this project to get them acclimated to the production pipeline, toolchain, and generally working with CDPR as sort of an "onboarding" task that grew into "we could ship this as a patch." My pet theory is that Virtuous is assigned to help with Orion and their work on the 2077 patch was to onboard them and make sure they have the right headcount for work with Orion.

One of the things I would most like to see being implemented would be to see the implants in V's body visible, like the robotic spine when equipping the Sandevistan for example, or being able to see the visible leg implant in the calf area. When we change the implant in the arms it already changes their appearance, I don't see why the other implants shouldn't also be visible.

Them hiring Virtuos studio could very well be a test-run to see how well they would collaborate with this studio in the future, as one of Virtuos' expertise areas seems to be in engine switching, and we know that CDPR is switching over to UE5. It could be that Virtuos is becoming a larger codev partner for CDPR, and that update 2.2 is part of the collaboration package between these studios, maybe

Im glad you mentioned the action pose issue for NPCs, there might be a hotfix or something for that. Good to know there is a mod for it though. I just wish you could make more custom unique NPCs to add to the roster.
