Thank you, Thank you so much! I started juicing for the first time a week ago because you mentioned it in a previous video and I thought it sounded interesting and went researching. I have been shocked at how great I feel. The benefit I am enjoying most though is that I am not hungry all day. I really think my body was trying to get nutrients and I was always hungry cruising the kitchen and snacking all day. Now I drink my juice and I don't think about food again for hours. I actually had to set alarms on my phone to remember to drink my juice during the day because I also get busy and forget. I feel amazing, I am sleeping better, and my head is clearer than ever. You are so right about getting used to being lethargic. It has been 20 years since I felt this good. I am sharing this video on the Joe Cross Juice Community on Facebook and I know all our new people will appreciate it. Thanks so so much for sharing this!

I was watching this as I was reaching for my afternoon cup of coffee. I've been having a lot of anxiety lately and know caffeine can make it worse. So, I dumped out my coffee (Sad face!) and grabbed my juicer and put through spinach, cilantro, celery, carrot, and an apple. I have juice before and also have the Brevill juice fountain. And like you said, it does pretty poorly with greens. I made 8 oz which is all I am going to allow myself because of the sugars, but it hit the spot. Usualy my afternoon coffee leaves me craving junk and still tired and I end up drinking just as much sugar in the creamer I put in it as I would a fresh juice so thanks for reminding me that juicing can be helpful!

Okay, that's the gazillionths time someone I truly trust, is telling me the benefits of juicing... I think Someone is trying to tell me something important... I do suffer from bloating, can often not sleep at all, have headaches, am always tired, am a little overweight, and am finally fighting a burn-out now. Again. Resulting in all kinds of added physical and mental stuff you don't want to know. Of course there's more to healing it all, but I am taking this to heart and will add veggie-juice to my diet. We can't afford a juicer, but I have a blender, so I will blend, and then strain and press the pulp some creative way, so that I have my juice in the morning! Thank you, dear Jess, for giving me that xtra push over the edge

Just followed this pretty closely using a George Foreman juicer that I was given and had sitting in the back of the cupboard unused (never been a juice person). Used my Home Grown Swiss Chard in place of Kale, but everything else the same as the baseline recipe. The Apples and Cucumber were store bought, but the celery, Carrots and Lemon our own as well as the chard. Diluted it 50-50 with filtered water so as not to get too much of a sugar hit, and was delighted with the flavour. Thumbs up, will do again especially once I have my own homegrown cucumbers to try in it :).

I bought the ingredients after work this morning & pulled down my juicer that’s been collecting dust on top of the fridge. Made about 8oz worth just to try it. My 19 month old who would easily live on mac & cheese LOVED this!!! She drank about half my glass, lol. Thanks for sharing your thoughts & tips. I think juicing is going to be happening a lot more in our house now.

I love your attitude, Jess. My favourite juice is a cucumber, 3-4 celery sticks, 3-4 carrots, a small beetroot and a few apples. For a special treat on Friday afternoons I like to have it with a shot of vodka, using a small inner celery stick as a swizzle stick. The colour is amazing..

Wish there were more people like you who take a POSITIVE approach to health and weight loss. Yes, "something" is better than nothing! I am to the point now, where I no longer go to the doctor any more than the mandatory once per year... and I adamantly REFUSE to step on their scales. It doesn't matter that in 5 years, I dropped 100 pounds. All they do is grouse at me about the amount remaining. I have incorporated specific foods to help lower BP (beets, blueberries, oatmeal, flax, pomegranate, pistachios, potatoes, and banana). Are the doctors satisfied that the numbers have come down? Nope! All they do is push more meds. (No, thank you)! Then doctors wonder WHY we hate going... GEE!!!! -- Do you think negativity instead of encouragement could be a factor? Yes, it is difficult making changes. If it were EASY, nobody would ever have a problem. Jess, even though you are not in the medical profession and are not a nutritionist, I still appreciate your approach! "Something" is better than nothing... and just because we are not successful 100% of the time doesn't mean it is a permanent failure that allows us to stop trying. Thank you. Many blessings to you from Kate in Olympia, WA -- 10/22/2019.

I starting juicing a few years ago. I bought a vintage centrifugal juice at a second hand store because I wasn't sure I was ready to commit to a expensive juicer. I used it for a couple years and decided the benefits were worth the investment in a better juicer. I bought a Kuvings masticating juicer last spring on Amazon. They offer a 12 month no interest option so that helped with the budget. I noticed the flavor improved with that style of juicing as well.I prefer the Kuvings because it is an upright model with a larger feeding tube so prep is less and it stores in my kitchen better. I also use it to juice my tomatoes for canning sauce and with herbs and veggies for canning my own version of V8 juice. Juicing is a great way to start your day for sure.

After watching this video, I decided to take a chance and buy a juicer. I’m glad I did. The juice is refreshing, tasty, and very filling, plus it satisfies my sweet tooth. My juicer leaves a lot of waste, so I run the discards through a second time. I’ll keep this one until it dies, and then splurge on one that’s a higher quality, and does a better job on leafy greens.

I have to thank you so much, this is the video that finally convinced me to buy a centrifugal juicer and it's impacting my health so much in such a great way. Instead of packing a carby lunch for work, I make my juice the night before and take it instead, and it's helping with my diabetes and keeping my sugars even throughout the day. I find the taste isn't too bad overnight if you add a splash of lemon juice to help preserve it. Thank you so much for helping me!

Great informative vid! I’m so glad to see you now using an Omega, auger juicer. It does not heat the produce that kills the beneficial enzymes our bodies craves. My first juicer, purchased in 2005 was the Omega. I absolutely loved it! I’ve moved onto another juicer due to the fact it has two augers that basically eliminates waste. I saved my money for quite a while to purchase the Angel juicer. Twin augers, all stainless steel. It was well worth the investment because I’ve been paid back ten fold by eliminating waste. The by product is dry which is extremely important to me when juicing organic produce due to cost. I’m 14 year in on juicing. Once you try I believe you’ll be amazed how your body feels! Thanks for sharing!

I have diabetes and CAD and had a quadruple bypass two and a half years ago. When I first got out of the hospital I couldn’t even walk anymore. I dealt with crushing depression and thought I’d never be able to garden again. I started trying anyway and spent more and more time in the garden. This year my garden was beautiful and I’m able to do almost everything I want to do. I planted two hundred tulips this past month and we have prepared a brand new vegetable bed that we will plant up next year......it’s nothing short of a miracle.

Love, love, LOVE this. My dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer in January. We started looking into all the options for treatment and none of it felt right! Someone told us about CHIPSA hospital in Tijuana, Mexico. They take a natural approach to treatment: juicing 25 lbs of produce a day, all vegetarian/vegan food, high doses of a Vitamin C and many, MANY other things. He comes home today after an intense 21 days of treatment! I was so happy to see you talk about this topic! Our goal as to get to a place where we can grow all of our own produce for his juicing! This will be a long term part of his healing and we are all jumping on board with him!

What an on time video for me and my husband! I was diagnosed a year ago with breast cancer, had surgery, chemo, etc...along with a hypothyroid and menopause. I gained weight with the thyroid issue and didn't lose any weight while on chemo. So, I learned in the midst of all those things that I can use nutrition to remove the thyroid hormones from my body and good nutrition will help jumpstart my thyroid into behaving itself as it should. As I began to research and learn it occurred to me that the general public will eat mainly whatever is offered at fast food restaurants. And they do not offer great greens like turnips, collards or kale and the like. Now I am so amazed at how much energy I have from just eating a cup of broccoli a day. I did watch Joe Cross in his documentary, "Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead", on Amazon prime. He also has a FB group which I just joined. We have a really good, easy to clean juicer. Unlike my husband, I'm starting small for obvious reasons. I'm still waiting to hear him let me know when the cleansing effect kicks in...lol. I have started a lot of vegetables specifically for this endeavor. So far, so good. I'm really hoping that this will lower my cholesterol by the middle of November when I go back to see my doctor. I learned about healing my thyroid through Rain Country on KZbin. There are also more resources online and I particularly like the ones backed by registered dietitians. Thanks so much for the great information. It helps me know we're on the right track. God bless y'all!

Now this comment is not biased because I happen to know and truly like you. That said, this is THE most inspiring video I have seen for juicing, or Keto, or Whole 30, or simply purposely making changes in your diet to incorporate significant amounts of healthy fruits and vegetables into your diet, and limit or remove junk foods. Thank you for this. I have several health issues, and some made worse by not the best diet which was started from my illness taking me out of work and money being tight. I have wanted to do this, and with my own garden, but I am too sick to even put one in. So I quit, gave up. But I have some seeds, and land to plant, but I need to have the health to plant it. So changes have begun, and I feel adding this will help my whole family. God is good, and Lord knows has been patient with me as I adjust from 100% independence to dependence for many things. But I feel this can be a game changer. I will be putting a juicer on my Christmas list this year, as well as more seeds, and a garden. Lol Thanks again for this video!

I appreciate this video so much, five years ago I was ayt home recuperating from a torn meniscus and I saw Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead and went out that day & bought a juicer and veggies. I immediately started a 30 day juice cleanse and the changes that came with that happened daily, over the course of a month I was walking without any pain or limping, clinical depression of over 20yrs was gone, arthritis in my other knee left, horrible allergies that would take me out of life for two and three days at a time were completely gone, not to mention I lost a pound a day. I became vegan after that and I have to expound the virtues of juicing, it is a wonderful tool to gain lost health back or to just enhance what you already have. Joe got rid of an 'incurable' auto-immune disease with juicing. It's a wonderful thing.

SO true what you said about how your body gets used to the impact of the food you're eating. After introducing so many positive changes into my diet, my body really cant handle processed foods at all. Sometimes I get frustrated by it, because I can't eat out and still feel good, but at the end of the day, it's like a built in structure for continuing in the right direction. Juicing is awesome, a great way to get more of those fruits and veggies in, in their uncooked state! Plus, it can be SO delicious. Raw salads are also fantastic. Also, for those looking for a good deal, check out Facebook marketplace! We bought our Breville for $50 and it was barely used. A lot of people get these for wedding gifts, or buy them on a whim, and never end up using them, so they sell them at a reduced cost.

My parents had tried the juicing when they watched the same documentary. We found a better juicer though! The Panasonic slow juicer works so well, no pulp in the juice and the extra stuff comes out drier (you get more juice!). We've been using a carrot/apple/celery/ginger juice and it's been helping with inflammation. I'm glad you're emphasizing the balance between healthy eating and juicing. Changing diet isn't an easy thing to do, kudos to you guys for sticking to it!

I can't do juicing . I eat healthy. No fast foods. I admire your efforts. I just love the taste of foods. I should clarify that I can drink carrot juice, tomato juice and any other fruits. I am unable to get past the color when different vegetables and or fruits are added. I agree there is no magic diet and whatever diet one uses what is best for them. I enjoy watching your garden and trying different seeds. Have a great Tuesday!

I totally agree that a lot of those health claims can be said about any diet that incorporates more plants and less fast-, processed- and junk food. I think this is why the paleo, plant-based, etc diets work ... because they call for simple food. I eat a whole food, plant-based diet normally, and I totally feel it when I stray.

What i got from this today was, for a short time and to kick star diatary change, juicing gives you an extra boost of concentrated nutrition without all the digesting the bulk of fiber etc. Im interesting in some juicing and intentional eating practices to give myself everything it needs to do better. I know small intentional things, practiced well can be life changing. I think a lot of people have questions or are skeptical or just deep thinkers and dont mean anything critical. My concerns and warnings for people or animals is to search for specific recipes for individuals. Men do need less plant estrogens and more testosterone. Protien is importent for muscle building and those who have kidney stone issues cant handle large amounts of oxylates in spinach, and other leafy greens and strawberries and other high in them. But the more knowledge you have of your individual needs the better juicing will work for you. Like Jess says natural foods are better then commercially prepared products. Jess is there a particular manual on information your following or can link for specific balances of fruit and veggies or following a method of what juicing is doing and accomplishing etc. And im assuming it needs to be fresh not frozen produce?

You are so right about getting used to feeling terrible from the food you eat. I can definitely feel the difference now that I switched to eating mainly Whole Foods. I can’t believe I spent my whole life eating garbage . There is a feeling I get when I eat a healthy meal that does not happen when I eat fast food. An energetic difference. I don’t even think fast food is food at all, it’s just a flavored lab creation.

I started juicing a few months ago with a Outad 150W Low Speed Masticating Juicer from amazon for $72.99. It's been extremely helpful with giving me a lot more energy. I ate smaller meals throughout the day and with that I noticed that I didn't actually feel hungry all day. I began detoxing from sugar on day one.

This is so good! Juicing is an amazing tool to use and I think everyone should try it. You hit some amazing points, like juicing alone is not sustainable for long term. Length of juice cleansing alone I guess would depend on what you’re trying to combat or “reset” in your system. I reeeaaally want to get that masticating juicer you have. It looks amazing. You’re drinking your daily multivitamin! It’s nearly impossible to get all our necessary vitamins and minerals in just a regular healthy whole foods diet. We just can’t eat the amount needed to meet optimal nutrition levels, not accounting for soil depletion if you’re not growing your own food, and doing so with sustainable practices. Juice and Broth; two amazing nutritional tools 🙌

We enjoy juicing too, I add a teaspoon of dehydrated kale, chard, spinach and some moragina powder that I dried over the summer when I had too much of any of these out of the garden. We're dealing with cancer and the juicing is an added benefit, my husband is doing well with juice, organic wholesome foods and a homeopathic program. God is so good, keep up the great work you both look well and strong. God bless you and your family😍

I save pickle, salsa and spaghetti sauce jars to use for juicing. If you break down the 32 oz serving into 2 16 oz jars you have a morning burst, then a mid morning break...juicing is much more filling then people think. It's not water - it has substance to it and it's not only filling, it is satisfying.

I really want to do this. I have made some steps to a better lifestyle. I am less sick than I used to be but I do have many days that I don't feel well. The problem is that I am disabled and have $50 a month for groceries. I have a channel and started growing a larger garden and I expanded my garden from being inspired by you. I've grown a garden for 28 years but didn't desire a larger one until moving to a healthier life. Even being disabled, I push myself to grow because it is the most economical way to get my vegetables. I have been wanting a juicer but I cannot afford to purchase one. I know in my heart of hearts that if I could get a juicer, it would make me feel so much better. Thank you for your inspiration! 🍎

I have Hashimoto's Thyroiditis, lactose intolerance, degenerative disc disease with chronic migraines and rosacea so I really need to do something to figure out my triggers. I have removed all dairy for the most part except occasionally lactose free yogurt. I know that kale and spinach are among many vegetables that I have to be careful not to eat too much of raw because of my thyroid issues. Thank you for addressing the nay sayers (haters) and the fact that they can't handle when people are changing for the better. Thumbs up to you guys for making a positive impact on the world. I bought a juicer 3 years ago and I feel a shat ton better everyday. Monsanto is the main producer of 75% of America's food supply, besides fast food (fat food) and the pharmaceutical industry. America is in its own concentration camp, and it's terrible watching people slowly kill themselves. It's a damn shame to live in this country and have no knowledge about what is happening around us.
