Walter “The House” Rouse is a bad dude. His interview after the game they asked him about that play and he said it’s because Coach Venables instilled into them the phrase “uncommon effort” and he said that phrase rang through his head during that play and decided he had to stick his other arm out to try to block the edge and he did it successfully. He’s a beast and was a big reason that the play happened.

Man you better put some respect on Oklahoma’s name! Texas was ranked #3 because of who they’ve beaten. #3 Bama, in Tuscaloosa and #24 Kansas. Better résumé than Ohio state. "Running into the kicker" and "roughing the kicker" are two different penalties. They called running into the kicker, which was the right call, and OU got a first because the 5 yards gave them a first on 4th and 3.
