Such a multidimensional game, especially when noting that players are trying to body the players who end up making highlight-reel plays. It would be good to start with best goals of recent seasons, or checking out highlight reels from Pavel Datsyuk, Connor McDavid, Sidney Crosby, and Alex Ovechkin

U 4got about the BEST goal scorer in the league since his Entrance of his existence in the NHL till now rookie year 2016/17 first over all pic "Austin Matthews" who scored 4 G's in his first debut game.. Matthews also has tons of NHL accolades 3 Rockets, M.V.P., Calder, and more.. Matthews is a scoring machine setting records like crazy as well as a generational player he also has more G's vs Ovey in their first completed 8 seasons simultaneously who Ovey will beat Gretzky's record of most G's in the Regular Season needing 41 G's.. Matthews has also made it to every NHL All-star break games in terms of qualifications.. How could u leave the best goal scorer out in the league since his entrance in the NHL till now?? Damn he just scored 69 G's this season and missed 70 by one goal which will motivate him for his future play to achieve a 70 G's season which hasn't been done in 30 years.. Shame on u, and how can anyone miss "Austin Matthews" Top 5 or 7 players list or mention of in the NHL league being Austin Matthews??

It SHOULD be way more popular. People don’t know until they watch. I love football but hockey is so much faster and it’s 60 real minutes. I think only round 6 minutes of football has is ACTUAL plays. The rest is huddles or lining up for the next play. Hockey is even more fun to watch live and while I love football games live too, it honestly doesn’t compare to hockey games, especially playoff hockey

5:40 - They added a new rule, if your helmet comes off involuntarily (by a hit or what ever) you have to immediately skate to the bench now. Hockey is awesome man, fastest game out there with the most skill there can be. Hitting can still get like this in the game currently, but its a lot more about use of the stick (in the regular season). It gets much heavier when it comes down to everything in playoffs. Hitting is clean if there is 0 contact with the head and you lead with your shoulder (not your elbow). Guys are skating at 10-20 MPH these days so when you collide, its like a mack truck colliding with another mack truck.

That's true, his throat was sliced across by a skate during a check. it's happened before and does happen at times, there is a video of NHLs worst injuries.

Juju, there has been a few incidents where a skate has cut someone’s throat. Recently, a player died in Europe after a guy went for a hit, missed, and his feet were up in the air and cut the guy. It’s was a huge story months ago. RIP.

He wasnt calling for help he was signaling to the bench he is immediately coming off so the guy who replaces his spot knows to be ready. In the nhl unless it's deemed an emergency they wont blow the play dead until either your team gets control of the puck and your player just can't get to the bench but almost always youll see the players try to get to the bench instead unless they are truly hurt because your team is essentially playing a man down until he is replaced so taking longer to get the bench is bad news

You need to go to an NHL playoff game. No sport is better live. Also, many of these hits are not legal. Massive elbows and headshots. If the primary point of contact is the head, it's a penalty at the very least (many times results in fines and suspensions.) When the ref puts his arm up, it's a penalty.

Im from Canada so hearing someone say hockey needs to get more popular is crazy to me. I mean I guess if you are from states that are more pro football, baseball and basketball I get it but here in Canada we lace up skates just after learning to walk sometimes lol Its those other sports here that are less popular. I mean lots of nhl arenas put 15000+ people in the stands a night and they play 82 regular season games a year. (Arenas have between 15000 to 21000 capacity approx.) Im a lover of all sports but hockey is #1 :)

You need to react to Nickolas Kronwall hits now. One of the best hitters the league has seen. He hit people so hard that they named the term ‘Kronwalled’. Also hockey players are have a significant less amount of padding then hockey players and the speed they’re skating at is unreal. He is certainly one of the best black defenseman of all time but Id say for sure jarome iginla is better by far but then like Wayne Simmonds I loved his style of game and id have taken him on my team over pk but that's not necessarily a knock on pks ability or skill
