Ok, is it just me, or did I see that bobbin go in the bobbin case backward? I also thread all my Juki's in an S pattern through the thread guides, the more Ss, the heavier the thread. I don't mean to nit-pick, but I need to know if I have been doing it wrong all these years. Help... I am torn between the DNU-1541S or breaking with Juki and going with Consew's version of the same. With everything going online, it is harder to find a local dealer. Cutsew 8 hours away, Consew 6 hours away. Pros - Cons?
@Noskipstitch3 жыл бұрын
I did see that too. So now I'm thinking which is the right way 🤔 but his stitches looks better than mine. I just got the juki 1541s n it locked on me. My son went through hell getting it back to sew again. I heard that the consew its a very good machine. The reason I bought the juki is bcuz the foot lever goes up pretty high. So it depends what u need it for
@richardadams39873 жыл бұрын
@@Noskipstitch I am a less than average sewer, but I caught the backward bobbin and the fact that setting the timing on the Juki 1541S is A LOT more involved than pressing a button turning the handwheel. He was actually re-engaging the safety clutch; turn the wheel away from you while pushing the button down until you hear it reset, then turn it towards you. Setting timing involves loosening a couple screws and measuring movement in the needle bar. They would lose hundreds of dollars per machine telling you how to do that. -Seems they could release a more honest review though, Cut Sew IS a reputable company. I cannot speak of the Consew though I have heard they are well made. Basically, as I understand it, they are all styled after the Singer 111. I grew up with the Juki family of sewing machines, other than a few Singers, they are all I have known. Sorry to hear you have had issues with yours.

Hi, please help me on this little detail. My Juki industrial machine DNU-1541, workhorse, but, when I’m working dense/thick material, and don’t give enough “gas” (I want to start slow instead losing control), the belt just spins but the needle won’t go through. Then the belt makes the raspy noise. I don’t know if this is normal or I just have to give more gas
@CutSew4 жыл бұрын
Few questions: How old is the belt? What condition is it in? Can you tighten the tension if it's in good condition? Which motor do you have?
@ejshelby54604 жыл бұрын
Cut Sew hi I bought it six years ago new, from my local distributor in NY. The machine is in excellent condition as recently checked by a Juki specialist. It’s the 1541, not the 1541S, Servo motor, machine made in Japan

The instruction manual is not easy to follow or understand, nor very helpful...do you have quick video on how to put machine on/in table from out of the box to actual using? HELP :-)

@@CutSew Thanks for the quick reply! Should have bought it from CUTSEW. With no preference or direction, I went with a place called SewingMachinePlus.com in Escondido CA. I put a phone call to them yesterday asking about the "fully assembled"... I called 3 times and still no reply. To say my excitement is deflated would be understating my disappointment in having spent $2,200 including $299 shipping AND still have to put it together MYSELF. Plus there was some damage to the rubber desk top bumper. Anyway don't want to beat a dead horse. I'm just trying to put the beast together so I can use it SAFELY.

Dammit. I paid over two grand for this machine and the main problem I’ve been having is the fact that the bobbin won’t stay in the carriage. It keeps vibrating out. Everything about this machine was awesome until that bobbin started freaking out on me. I took that head and switched it for my old Consew. I’m pissed. I had to wait over three months while it rotted in a container on a barge somewhere outside of New York. This machine turned out to be a major disappointment. I’m gonna replace the bobbin housing and dump this pile of shit. If any of you buy this machine, monitor its behavior and watch that bobbin. I’ve already bent and broke over five needles. Before this I hadn’t broken a needle in 15 years. Has anybody else shared this malfunction? Jeez. I gotta be the luckiest guy alive. 🙄
