Thank you so much for making all these videos! I have only had my 1181 for a few weeks and I was concerned because I have never seen the oil splatter in that clear window like I’ve read I should from other people. So glad to know it’s normal not to see it! Thank you!

Totally normal. You can circulate the oil every once in a while. Just run it for 30 seconds or so at number 17 (1700rpm) on your motor.

Juki recommendations is oiling in fast speed when changing threads or needles, they said on high once a week for 5 minutes. Just wanted to add that, great video, I own this machine for 6 years and love mine.

Thanks for the great comment Kelly. A few things to be careful with when running the machine at high speed. Run the machine with the presser foot in the up position so you do not run metal on metal with the feed dog and presser feet. Make sure the needle is not threaded unless you are sewing. Speed is another variable. This machine is a low speed machine, which would usually take a 1725 clutch motor. The new servo motors run from 0 to 3450 RPM, which would be considered high speed at the top end. Only run at "fast" speed up to 1725 RPM to be safe. Thanks again!

oops, forgot to state that too, thank you, I use a brushless motor and never push it past 1600, have speed set to 2 normally for leather, then when I change projects, needles or thread, I bump my brushless to 22 on the channel for my oil up, I have to change my oil though in my pan, that would be a great tutorial, lol.. hint hint.... Do you guys carry the Juki no. 7 oil and the grease that needs to go in the back whole for the gears? I am having a hard time locating those to items. The vendor, I purchased my machine from, Is no longer in Business. I appreciate your videos.

I stock the Juki Defrix oil #7. You do not need to use that exact oil. Lily white oil is general sewing machine oil that works in most machines. I asked Juki about the grease and they stated white lithium grease will work just fine.

awesome, thank you, been trying to find that grease forever, live in the desert, my grease has dissolved itself from the dry heat. I appreciate it, I will have to call you all for the Juki 7 oil, why are the particular on what number of oil to use?

Hey Steve! Thank you so much for your videos. Page 11 of the DU-1181N manual talks about opening the nose (?) of the machine for oiling but it also says something about factory settings. You did not mention opening that area and besides that, I cannot figure out how to open the area. I removed all the screws I could find (3) and it did not budge and I did not want to force it. I would love your guidance, please.

I have juki the misin 9500 it's not the table mode it set in it's own bottom.. I don't have red marks and where the bobben goes there's like a screw on plug I'm thinking that's the oil.. how often do you change the oil and how do you check the oil ?? It's what they call here a 100 stitch machine.. I love it but everything is in Japanese and I can't find this machine on KZbin thank you ..

When we assembled my 1181 I followed the oiling instructions until I reached a part in the manual that said to removed the end cap(at the needle end?) And get some oil in there and adjust some screws to adjust oil delivery...I removed the end cap but what I saw in there just made me back out! I was afraid to adjust anything because the stitches were so nice and I didn't want to mess it up. It's a new machine(as opposed to used purchase) Do I really have to get in there and do that? It seems to run fine, no squeaks or clunks and I'm a turtle sewer(motor on 360!) Love your videos and have your channel on speed dial! :)

There is another red dot that needs to be smeared, between the 3 and 4 points in the video, the axis of the rocker the walking foot. And of course, everyone forgets to lubricate the thread winder and it often breaks.

If a machine did not sit in the oil pan for a few months, is it necessary to add oil other than the oil pan?
@Sewinggold3 жыл бұрын
If the oil is dirty or anything other than clear, change it. Make sure to have oil filled between high and low.
