Thank you, I do have a question for you, I have a 341 that will not bring up the bottom thread from the bobbin. Any suggestions is greatly appreciated.

I'm researching the 341 and 1341/1342 machines. Please let me know if my information is incorrect. What I have ascertained is that there is no real 1342 machine. For marketing purposes, some resellers are calling the 341 a 1341 and the 1341 a 1342. My research also tells me that the only difference between the 341 and 1341 machines is that the former requires manual oiling, while the latter has automatic oiling.

The Juki LS-1340 series is a very different design from the older Juki LS-341 series, especially in the casting and internal design elements, and built-in bobbin winder. The arm and hook area are very similar between the old and new design. The Juki Manual for the Juki LS-1340 series (www.juki.co.jp/industrial_j/download_j/manual_j/ls1340.pdf) shows the differences of the various subclasses in the Juki LS-1340 series (1340, 1341, 1342, and 1342-7). Main differences include: 1340 has the small hook, 1341 and 1342 have large hooks but very different foot lift adjustment design (dial vs. slot screw), 1342-7 has pneumatic and automated functions.
