Thank you for posting this archival footage. The footage is actually from 1988. We recorded Floating Into The Night that winter at Excalibur near Times Square. The album didn't come out, though, until September 1989. It was delayed in anticipation of the first season of Twin Peaks in 1990. At least three songs from the album were used in the series, and Julee also appeared in the show to perform them, as you know. I only know because I did A&R for Warner Bros. Records and signed David, Angelo and Julee in 1988. I was there.

Her voice was so beautiful, ethereal! That voice took me 2 beautiful places, now it's taken this Angel home, so I'm happy 4 that but sad she is not playing with us here anymore! Love u Angel! The wonderful Julie Cruz!

Super cool seeing this 💕☁️🎈 ... the overlaying of voices gives the sound a buoyancy like a heavenly chorus in the clouds... Miss you Julee xox

The few seconds walking the 1980s New York street and the crummy entrance to the studio made me very, very nostalgic indeed...😪

It's probably something pretentious like reclaimed red sandalwood from an abandoned violin factory in Turin Italy where a little-known mime was discovered. But said mime returned to the same factory to die in obscurity years later. Or at least that'll be the story behind it. It's Lynch after all.

89? this looks more like 1969 lol

It does look like 1969, but cityscapes becoming unrecognizable at 6 year intervals due to insane levels of development everywhere is really what's out of the ordinary
