Ganon is always so fun to play! In a future video, it would be really fun to watch you cycle through characters online -- randomly pick one character to start, and for every successive match, switch your character to the opponent you faced in the previous match. It's like squad strike -- except the opponent decides your roster!

The reason I'm always excited to see a new video from you is your commentary, insight, and great attitude while you play. While I don't hate combo/montage videos, I don't think that's what I would want to see from your channel. Things like your movement and recovery tutorials are definitely something I'd be more interested in seeing from you in between the Elite videos and character guides. I'm not sure if this is something you even do, but uploaded coaching sessions are always a great learning experience for me as well, and I think your teaching style would help people out a ton. Just my 2 cents, thank you so much for all of your work that goes into this channel. I know it's helped me improve as a player.
@culex5826 жыл бұрын
The reason I subscribed to your channel and check everyday for new vids from you is to learn the game. There are plenty of youtubers and streamers who play to entertain their viewers, but your channel is valuable to me because you play to teach, to share your experience, and to walk us through your thought process as you play your matches. Your positive attitude is also very good for the community. I enjoy your Elite Smash series as well as your Competitive Tutorial series of videos and I do hope you continue to make those. At this point in time, I and many other people are looking into finding a second or third character so those series of vids are also helpful in finding characters that people can get interested in picking up. Some people don't have the time to experiment with every character or reach a certain skill level to gain a good understanding of the character, so your vids help people to see the potential that a character has and if it will mesh well with what the player wants. I would love to see you do a video concerning advice on picking up a secondary or advice on character types and matchups. Since the game is still in its early stages, I understand that this sort of thing will probably not be easy or feasible until later on. Another series that I would like to see from you is your commentary of pro matches. Some tournament matches involving pro players are covered by commentators who are more focused on entertaining the audience, so hearing your thoughts on these matches from a technical and teaching standpoint would be great. Thanks for your hard work. I can't wait to see what you have in store for us!
@thayerbirch48476 жыл бұрын
I think the elite smash videos you do are a good format. The content I would personally like to see would be an extension of what you're already doing in the elite smash videos. I think the comments on the match ups and on how you're interpreting your opponents play-style are particularly helpful (for instance the comment on trying to DI Zelda's kick but being too big addressed playing against Zelda both in general and as Ganon, and the comments about Zelda rolling after any commitment for an example of play-style). I think returning to characters for extra "episodes" of a character in elite smash could also help get a breadth of matchup knowledge. Another thing I would personally find interesting: occasionally walking through replays of your matches after the fact to break them down in an environment where you can pause the match to finish thoughts or focus on aspects of match that would ordinarily pass to quickly to say much about.

LyricalTree 68 Combo tutorials tend to be a bit useless. Trust me when I say Smash is not just about combos, it is also about predicting what your opponent will do next and knowing how you can punish their mistakes. Yes you can learn a few tricks from combo tutorials, but you also need to get creative with your own style instead of depending on what others do. That’s how you get better at the game.

To add to that, instant dash attack (input dash + c stick) covers no tech, tech in place, and roll away (the timing is kind of strict because you can't really buffer the dash). The only option it doesn't cover is roll behind, which can be covered by dash attack behind, down smash, or another flame choke.

Ideas for content that I think you’d be great at: - high level player character reviews and explanations (example: Tweeks Wario and what he does well that the common player can adopt) - High level gameplay vid reviews (genesis etc) - character guides always great whether elite smash gameplay with commentary or more structured guides - concept guides - top ten lists related to smash education (e.g. top ten situational moves, top ten moves you should avoid in ultimate, etc.) - elite smash iron man video (would be a longer video) where if you lose you have to use the next character in line from a roster of a size of your choice

Could you possibly start up a small series where you break down the weaknesses of each character in Smash? I'd like to see fundamental guides, discussion videos, character guides, vod analysis, more elite smash videos, basically just anything that I can listen to at work. I really like listening to these in the background, and I don't usually click on content like montages as much. Also wanna throw in a request for a Roy guide and/or elite smash, and a PT guide and/or elite smash that goes a lot into squirtle and zard (since everyone plays and talks about ivysaur nowadays, and I feel the other two are under-developed and under-utilized)

To answer your question, I really like your instructive commentary that you do doing your videos, you do a great job of explaining your rationale so I'd like to keep seeing this sort of video. I think if you want more subs and to grow your channel you should probably do combo montages and some more clickbaity titles (it's sad but there's a reason people do that). That being said, I'd still love to see this sort of thing as well since you're a very smart player and do a fantastic job of explaining things as you're playing rather than just shouting stuff at the game like a lot of more popular channels do. It's important to note that you'll have a hard time growing your channel if you aren't doing anything original or contributing something unique to the community, and I think your commentary style while you're playing does a fantastic job of separating you from the crowd and losing it would harm your channel in the long run. I'd like to see your channel grow since I really appreciate your videos, so I've been recommending you to some friends as well. Good luck!

Great pointers on Ganon. I think your videos are so educational, and you could do a great tournament analyses.
