@brantleyfoster021
@brantleyfoster021 3 жыл бұрын
@@curtino114 He served the community well because he couldn't get votes. He only did it for the publicity to boost his rating's. Alot of leak's under the Turnbull government revealed that Tony Abbott wasn't getting votes for various positions at all, Turnbull at the last minute did alot of phone call's & mail out's to save him. But all that community service still didn't save him in the end as a woman replaced him at Warringah. Trying to promote someone who's a misogynist & who had a best selling book doing the rounds on his affair with his former staffer destroying his government is like trying to put Harvey Weinstein next to a beautiful woman & tell him to leave her alone - it's a hopeless case. The world doesn't need misogynist's like Tony Abbott & Harvey Weinstein.

Because she had the courage to admit she was wrong and so change her mind about an important policy which she had earlier promised she wouldn't introduce. Because of this broken promise - which really it was - she was labelled a 'liar' (which to me is strange - since when is changing your mind about something classed as a lie?)

It's amazing that I watched this youtube clip when it first came out and at the time there was a lot of negative comments (most of the comments) about Gillard on the Sky news site. Most of the comments (as I recall) were like an echo chamber of each other. What is so strange is that 7yrs later, barely any negative comments remain. There are plenty of positive comments that remain from same time period, so where have the negative comments gone? How many of those negative comments were written by paid lobbyists and not real people. Gillard was hated by the mining lobby and I wouldn't past them to try and sway opinion in their favour.
@296Echo

The negative comments are stripped out - 100% on the Guardian site showing the same video ...... cant let anything spoil the image of an internationally acclaimed intellectual lightweight ......
@296Echo
@296Echo 4 жыл бұрын
@pa59 Yes - she was such an embarrassment - and the Left continue to this day to promote her as some sort of Role Model ...... a Guiding Light...... some sort of Einstein .......... when in fact she never even made Lightweight, definitely didnt make Featherweight, never even Bantamweight, or Flyweight but most probably would weigh in as an Intellectual Atomweight ........to use boxing parlance .....Isnt it sad when the ABC, the Guardian and the other hopelessly Bolshie crews employ their own little clique of running dog lackeys to remove any negative comments when one of their Atomweight Bolshie heroes are criticized ??......They attack Free Speech with utter impunity ....but hey thats what all Bolshies do - 24 X 7 they love to suppress, crush and control ........... they all follow what Lenin said re Freedom of the Press: "He who now talks about the 'freedom of the press' goes backward, and halts our headlong course towards socialism".
@296Echo
@296Echo 4 жыл бұрын
@pa59 Keating ...!!! That name is a blast from the past - is he still alive ?? Last time I heard of him he was fighting for his life with some nasty virus....... I havent lived in Oz forever so I dont keep up with the latest.... Keating .... his name should be a verb - meaning 'being dopey' .....I remember he always used to tout his genius of floating the Aussie Dollar in 1983 - But the reality is VERY different - the investment banks modeled up the AUD 'basket' (via Lotus) and would set their positions every morning so they could automatically rip mountains of cash off the RBA when the official daily cross rates were announced - it was like shooting fish in a barrel - and perfectly legal. So Keating the genius had no choice - Oz was getting slaughtered ....funny how he turned a good old fashioned daily rodgering into a triumph ....Pathetic Stuff......and the Bolshie Running Dog Press have enshrined his act of Utter Genius of floating the AUD into the National Story ......A lot of smart players made truckloads every day off that dope Keating - how many hundreds of Houses, Ferraris and Bentleys did he willingly distribute across the dealing desks of Oz, London, Tokyo, Zurich, Frankfurt, Singapore, Hong Kong and NYC...?? Keating was an utter trog - the moment he knew the IB's had figured out the AUD basket algo and thats why he was getting slaughtered he should have let the AUD float ....but NO ...... he kept the slaughter going ........ What a Joke ...... maybe he woke up when someone in Treasury sat him down and explained how a spreadsheet actually worked and why the RBA was losing mountains every single day ... Would love to see the advice he received from the Oz Treasury, the Bank of England and the Fed .....maybe that will come out one of these days .... maybe it has already been defensively shredded.....? Changing subjects - I have always been puzzled why he didnt move to Indonesia to be closer to his beloved 'Bapak' Soeharto after he lost the 1996 election but in retrospect it would have been a short stay (but deeply pleasurable I am sure) because his Buddy Soeharto the Dictator was out of office in 1998 ..... but hey whats a lot of money, national security and fun and games between super close friends - right? Remember the Keating - Soeharto Secret Defence Treaty between Oz & Indonesia ??..... Thats the one that ASIO, the Cabinet, the Defence Dept, the US and the UK governments knew nothing about.....?? He Keatinged that one !!! BTW - talking about people who were super close to Keating - whatever happened to that classical music guy he was bosom buddies with for years.....?? Cant remember his name .... I do remember he miraculously won 5 Commonwealth Scholarships in a row @ AUD250K a year (for playing the organ I suppose) ..... I could go on and on about the False Prophet Keating ...... but I would upset too many of the Running Dog Lackeys who run the Bolshie Press in Oz and of course the Labor Party Comrades who are Guardians of the Eternal Labor Flame..... Tally Ho...!!

The treatment of women in this country has continued to be as poor as it was the day it was called out in Parliament house. The shame belongs to all of us when each of us stands by and says nothing when anyone is treated differently because of gender. A person's integrity and kindness is what truly matters. We as a country deserve a higher standard from all our politicians we deserve more. We deserve the best representations regardless of gender. We deserve honour and respect. Maybe then Australia can be seen as the lucky country once more.

And your claimed "common sense" is not accepted as one. And to comment what you said about women being allowed to advertise their sexuality and men being seen as sexual predators, are you kidding me? Women are named and men are looked upon with admiration. And maybe, just maybe, women aren't as interested in wars because we aren't as violent.

This is an appeal to hypocrisy, its a logical fallacy that attempts to discredit the opponent's position by asserting the opponent's failure to act consistently in accordance with that position; it attempts to show that a criticism or objection applies equally to the person making it. This dismisses someone's point of view based on criticism of the person's inconsistency, and not the position presented, whereas a person's inconsistency should not discredit their position. and yes its from wiki

No, MRA seeks merely to ensure that men are treated equally. Nothing more, nothing less. It also seeks the abolition of outdated, sexist policies like gender quotas in government jobs, unfair child support payments, and alimony (which presupposes that women cannot work). It also seeks the identify the inequality in criminal sentencing when it comes to crimes, the astonishingly high rate of male suicide, and other issues that disproportionately impact men.

So in other words you can't rebut any of those points? And alimony is completely at odds with the notion of equality in today's society, whether the woman receives it, or in the much rarer three percent that a man receives it. The notion that anyone is "entitled" to a "standard of living" simply because they were living with such standards for a period is completely absurd. As for the opening comment, what exactly about equality constitutes bullshit? And that myth about lower pay is just that.

This, I think, spelt the end for Gillard. An awful politician, an awful person, and gone for good. Good.

If one bothers to listen and comprehend what she shouts , the content is actually a rant of vehement hate towards Australian Males. After all , she claimed to be a lesbian during her university student council election when she gave a similar speach . The fact is she decided to espouse some postmodern feminist theory in Parliament and used the Leader of the Opposition as the heinous subject of contention . It was in fact a misandry speach full of hatred and spite toward boys and men of Australia. Australians voted her out soon after.
