i've listened to this tune several times already. now knowing that julia was also brought up with catholic school deepens the connection; the catholic guilt is endless and very real, lmao. I love the video as well! appreciate how all of julia's music videos have a great sense of place/setting & mood. the slow zoom-in/zoom-outs in the beginning with the beautiful framings of the lighthouse; the running and catharsis when the song starts to rev up in the back-half. great stuff. hyped for the album!

@@hagen4264 I think it means as an adult even if youre not too connected to your religion anymore (specifically in this case Catholicism) you still remember the thoughts of let’s say like eternal damnation, feeing extreme shame over doing some things, etc etc from when you were a child. But I want it to be clear that it doesn’t necessarily mean religion bad, it’s just the way things were taught as a child mightve been damaging rather than helpful.

I’ve been a huge fan of hers for a while now and I’m glad to have own half of her merch. Though I’m still a bit iffy that others don’t know about (Phantastic Ferniture) at all even her fans. Like her band ^ and the other band that was formed back in 2012 with Elizabeth Hughes called (Salta)
