The way that the song touches upon the “Love, love will tear us apart, again” melody/rhythm without plagiarizing or feeling like a cheap imitation is really awesome. It evokes another layer of meaning to the lyrics, almost a response to Ian Curtis, for those who know the song and yet this song still stands firmly on its own. I’m not sure if it was intentional, but if so it’s a nice bit of songwriting craft.

I've only heard two songs, the first was: I Was Neon. As an old now person, with borderline personality disorder and autism, I resonated with the idea of liking who I am now and questioning whether I would lose myself again if I entered another close friendship or romantic relationship. The answer is that I would...without a doubt. But the honest phrasing of the songs do not make me hurt, it's like listening to someone who has come to terms with who they are, as I have, and it's a delight to listen to them. Julia's solutions to her life's questions will be different to mine, I have no doubt, but to hear those questions get asked amongst all that wonderful music, is a treat.
