@O R Silverman and Schumer (and those "vulgar" comediennes who came before them) help expand what is deemed acceptable for women comics and comic actresses. Julia Louis Dreyfus was VERY vulgar in VEEP, but she got away with it because of performers like Sarah Silverman that had been even more vulgar. My favorite Julia line from VEEP (on hearing the news that the Prez was going to resign) "I'm going to be the first President who sits down to pee since Franklin Delano Roosevelt!" Very funny... but very vulgar.

Kaddywompous because you don't have to give up your dream & get a "proper" job to survive. Larry David had his parents to fall back on until he was famous. He said he used to live at home & get an allowance until he was in his 30s. Kudos for him for sticking at it 🙏🏻 as he said parents gave him no encouragement.
