They don't wear uniforms on certain days?

They change into their uniforms when they arrive at work, but both women had came in late. Dr Chegley got the phone call before they could change out of their street clothes so he put them to work right away they eventually do put on their uniforms as you see in the next scene where Yarby gets fired... its the same day just later.
