Ya I used to have a pattern where I liked toxic men as well. It is a sobering feeling when you think you found a guy who you really like and then suddenly he flips a switch and changes overnight. I have an ex that did that. After we had a misunderstanding that could have been easily talked out he literally acted like I didn't exist anymore. It was a very sobering feeling to learn that men that seem like they are prince charming can change instantly. I eventually learned that those people are just bad news and to just keep moving on. It was difficult at first of course but life went on and eventually I found my husband through work. We liked each other right away and this time it was different because everything just flowed so easily between us. I also didn't have to do any chasing down or acting different for him either. I know you will find someone who will treat you the way you deserve to be treated as well. It just takes time and like Tonya said just have faith in the process. The year I decided to get back into dating after a long toxic relationship, I went all in. My family said it was like I was the bachelorette lol. But the beauty of doing that is getting to see the difference between infatuation, crush, and something real. When I met my husband it was like a shock went through me. He’s never once made me feel insecure, unloved, or even unfunny. Trust your instincts and that you have taken the time to learn your lessons after a toxic relationship … which it seems like you’re already doing! You should feel proud of yourself and just have fun. I was 28 when I met my husband and we have been together four amazing years, have a lovely cat, and have moved in and out of the United States mid pandemic. Sometimes the apps work!

Some "men" really do be so intimidated by a successful, independent, beautiful woman to such an extent that they resort to breaking down her self esteem so subtly she doesn’t even realise it. Its almost an art for them. Stay safe ladies, your mental wellbeing, your self esteem and your life is worth SO much more than the headache of a crap partner who WILL tear you down stem by stem until they feel they are no longer intimidated by you. Unlearning toxic romance is very healthy and the best people can do for themselves

I wholeheartedly recommend the book by Shani Silver: "A single revolution: don't look for a match, light one" She talks about letting go of the mandate for participating in a dating culture that harms women more than anything... That feeling of being tired of asking guys the same basic questions goes back to that same thing and the fact a woman is single does not mean she is obligated to change that. In any case I am happy you were able to pick up on red flags and put an end to it. I love your videos!!

as someone w colorful DM products and hooded eyes, my best advice is just go for it! use them all over without fear (own it!), use colorful pops in the inner corner, use them as eyeliners/ close to the lash line for a subtler look

I just got out of a 4 year toxic cycle with a guy who wasn't ick or horrible, just wasn't sure of himself so he wasn't sure of the relationship. I took a few months for myself as well and met someone who matched my consistency and kindness. He is one of the most genuine, kind, sweet, and funny people I've met in a long time. Not sure if he is the one, but I finally got some reciprocation. I also get frustrated with the apps and dating and shitty people, but this guy really showed up. Patience is hard but worth it :)

I just wanted to say, that our relationship history is....oddly similar? i dated someone for a year (lots of red flags, parents didn't love him) & started seeing someone after that i met online for 6 months who made me feel insecure. i wanted something long term with him but happy it did not pan out that way. ALSO went on 3 dates with a guy who i was excited about but then also got the ick due to weird shit he said.. anyways, HAPPY to report that i'm 27 and am now in a relationship with a guy who is absolutely lovely and truly just my match. it's worth the wait. and it comes when you least expect it, which i know sounds dumb. you're wonderful and have a beautiful personality - enjoy life and i have no doubt all great things will come!! I am still trying to get out there with dating, I basically was in 2 consecutive really toxic relationships when I was really young & haven't really done dating since (there was this thing with a guy for awhile but turned out he had a girlfriend). My mum found my stepfather when she wasn't looking, at the supermarket, its been 4 years & my cat just moved in & decided she loves him, so I guess he's a keeper for sure. My cat usually doesn't really like new people, and takes awhile to warm to people but with him she just jumped in head first. I thought I would have to be single because she doesn't like people but turns out the right person she can like, so this is definitely going to be my test.
