YAY! I've been waiting for this. I want peoples feedback before I make my final decision. I'm so team Apple. The one thing I don't like is camera notch and it's right in the middle of the menu bar. My older MacBook doesn't have that. You can see the whole menu bar. I love this unboxing.

Mine is being delivered tomorrow. It'll be my very first Apple laptop. I'm way into the Apple ecosystem but never have owned one of their laptops. I do all my photo/video editing on an M1 iMac, the MacBook Air I got is the base model in silver and will be used for general low key photo and video editing and web surfing, email checking, social media updating, etc. And I should mention that I'm retired and probably old enough to be your great grandfather. I'm pretty tech savvy but wondered if you might have any tips for a first time MacBook user? I enjoyed watching you unbox your new MacBook and your enthusiasm seems authentic. Peace. 😎

Be careful lighting a candle near your laptop!! The soot can really affect it over time. This happened to my moms Mac a few years back and it was a pain to get it fixed!

I'm an old guy so ... Yeah, i didn't have the same excitement. However, the bag test is valid. While the laptop is very light and thin (and sturdy) for the size, it is big. I also need to check my backpack (for my former 13"MBA) first. TLDR i buy a new backpack.
