I've always thought scrubs look super cute? I have no need for them, but they seem to make getting dressed for work super easy!

I just started working as a pharmacist at a hospital & I’m so jealous of all the people who get to wear scrubs. They look so cute and comfy while I’m over here in business casual and a lab coat 😭😭

Is it weird that I love the look of scrubs? Im in teachers college so they will never be apart of my wardrobe but I love the way they look lol. I def dig the black on black on black look too, but the light blue under shirt really makes your eyes pop! Hope you're doing good girly!! :)

For the seams that are coming off, tie a KNOT and then cut the seam that is hanging off. The knot prevents it from coming undone but you can cut off the tail that is hanging. If that makes sense

I’m in dental school and we have to order our scrubs through the school which makes me sad, I’d rather be able to order different styles and brands! As a class our color is teal!
@ShinbiBelldandy4 жыл бұрын
My school was like that too. I got the school scrubs initially & then color matched them with my own better fitting scrubs. :)

We had to wear brown scrubs for my program, but it’s so nice once you finally get to buy styles you prefer ☺️
@samanthamandel7664 жыл бұрын
ShinbiBelldandy that’s a great idea! I’ve done that for the pants but our tops have a stamping/embroidered school logo so no such luck there.

Julia Kristine oh man brown sounds terrible! I’m so glad you get to wear black now. It’s so stylish and sleek
@ShinbiBelldandy4 жыл бұрын
Julia Kristine OMG, I had to wear brown at my old job & this lady in HR was such a bitch over it. Every brand has their own interpretation of color & I found a really nice brown, but she made me buy new scrubs because she said "they look burgundy to me." It was such a waste of money, but I wasn't getting fired over a damn color. I always donate my scrubs because I take good care of them, so they didn't go to waste, but still they're pricey

We X-ray techs should only be doing X-ray duties. Unfortunately we’re forced to do the work of medical assistants, lab technicians and nurses, and we DO NOT get paid for it.
@JuliaKristine3 жыл бұрын
I've noticed this is particularly the case in very small clinics. I didn't mind as it kept me busy, since I had around 4 xrays per week.. and that was during a good week. Helping with nursing and lab duties kept me busy, but you have a point! I would have loved to be busy with x-ray. Since I've uploaded this video, I have found a new position where I'll be training into CT, then eventually MRI

That's how the medical field works for almost everyone that's in it. I'm a CMA (certified Medical Assistant and I have my Associates degree and the certification on top since it's required) and I work in the front and back office. I've done xrays, nurse triage line for 5 physicians (by myself along with my normal job duties), medication refills, put orders in for different procedures, assist with procedures, suture and staple removal, Injections, phlebotomy, urinalysis (we didn't always send urines out either AKA a lot of this is done in the office (unless it was a culture and sensitivity which was drawn up in the office, I'd put the order in, and then send it out), ultrasounds, forms, referrals, scheduling, prior authorizations, inputting new patient paperwork into the EMR system, scanning docs into the EMR system, training soon to be graduate MA's and LPN's or new co-workers, ran a lab (myself) while also in charge of running 3 different physicians (myself), casting, DME, dressing wounds, filing paper charts and paperwork in these charts (before everything was done electronically and some offices still use paper charts), check in and check out, transcription, stocking and cleaning up around the office, ordering supplies, calling patients to let them know their test results, or if a prescription was sent to their pharmacy, confirm appointments with the patient and/or the office the patient was referred to, worst case scenario is you end up making the appointment for the patient at another office and then let the patient know, STAT referrals for different tests, etc. We don't get paid anywhere near what xray techs get paid either and most people have no idea what an MA is, they refer to us as nurses (which we are not). Oh and don't forget the walk In patients or just nurse visits which are randomly placed in between normal appointments (the patient’s usually come in for a BP check, UA, EKG, spirometry, and the most popular is blood work). I get where you're coming from, but they didn't just do this to xray techs and it cuts costs because they don't need to hire another person for one specific job (they will utilize you in every way possible in this field).
@alexandraw8873 жыл бұрын
And nobody gets paid for the extra work that needs to be done (anything outside of your job description). That's the medical field.
