Guys, I dig your show. I’ve watched most of the 280+ TH episodes since day one. Love your work, guests, themes, and approach. I get the lightweight, opinion/commentary concept of "Eyes on", and think it's a nice idea. I don’t expect no Edward R. Murrow shit, and I respect anyone’s right to express their opinion (as ill-informed as it may be), but the freewheeling and sloppy adherence to facts from your boys is hurting your brand - and incidentally the reputation for journalistic depth and rigor Jack has established through his other reporting. The gratuitous (and wrong) references to Assange's wife's name? Why?.. Childish and irrelevant. Jason can read wikipedia live on air.. great, but so can everyone else.. You can do better. You're the CIA guy who "goes way back" with "Julie"... Weigh in with something real, unique, interesting - please. "His wife doesn't seem to have a problem with it" - Milburn Cheap dig.. Maybe read up on the chronology of your subject before fumbling your crayons live on air. It would appear they hadn't yet met, and married a decade later.. Regardless of what your position on Assange's actions might be, do a bit of homework, keep your commentary based in fact, if you can't keep it mature. You want to comment on the consequences of his actions? Do that. You both have legitimate background and experience to comment. What's up with the 5yo shit? Jack/Dave - the kids should be grounded - or at least docked their pocket money. Now... The truths exposed by the likes of Wikileaks, Assange, Snowden, Hersh etc.. have led to bi-partisan policy/legal changes in the US to rein in excesses around issues like unwarranted domestic wiretapping, unchecked collateral damage, detainee abuse, unchecked influence of the military-industrial complex.. Not a bad thing. All of this in a US-media landscape where the truth around such issues would/could never surface. I get that you don't like that you got your hand caught in the cookie jar, and the inherent/perceived risks to US opsec.. but you gotta break some eggs to make an omlette. How else would that stuff get out? Also.. you guys are fighting for the above ideals, aren't you? Good thing that man is free. Can't wait to see Wikileaks expose Ukraine (CC @josephgee2515), and watch you guys lap it up when it suits. With respect.

You put 100 times more effort into this comment than they put into this episode. Maybe you should be hosting.

I want to argue with you but I fear you might be right. The USG is giving the plea deal because they're losing the optics fight. Rightfully so. Plea deal or not, the US has committed 14 years to making his life hell. You know, somewhere, there's people talking about how close they were to driving the nail. I think Julian has a long road to recovery ahead, and suicide is incredibly likely. True or not.

Im disappointed in your evaluation. Its very one sided, unfortunately. This shows me that you really have not done too much homework on this issue. Also, i think that your other takes on other podcasts may/could lean this unfortunate way, too. You are spouting your own rhetoric.

Like how Putin's army is supposedly there to fight the Natzees but then Dmitry Utkin of the Wagner group is a proud Natzee himself bragging about the swastika tatts on his chest? 🤣

He won't be exposing anything. He accepted a plea deal for 5 years, he has already served 5 years in the UK. He's probably traumatised after the years in the Embassy and in solitary confinement in belmarsh prison.
