This is a fiendishly difficult piece to play whilst getting the phrases to flow. It is outstanding that not only is Julian radiating out those phrases, but his embellishments, accents and rubato bring to them such a living quality. Honestly, to play this piece live to such a high musical standard is true victory. To my mind Bream had his sights fixed on the music he wanted to express and (amazingly) his body responded. A very gifted musician and a true credit to the music possible on the guitar. Bravo Julian, bravo 👏
