Bream is one of the very few people that play the first part of Prelude No. 4 rhythmically and emotionally right. You have to ask yourself: What is the player trying to say with this? - And when Bream plays you can feel what he is trying to express. It is just pure awesomeness to listen to his rich and lovely tone!

No doubt, he IS a master at what he's doing. I'm playing prelude 4 right now, but I don't think this music is a contest about who's playing it fastest...I personally prefer putting emotion to this song.

He practiced classical guitar and played the same material any student would play Tarrega,Granados, VillaLobos, Bach. I sat at his feet attentively listening to this to him play these awesome classics with a sensitivity and nuance that only a professional would possess. Too bad he never took it further.
